Wing Wizard Windy Miller Posted September 18, 2021 Posted September 18, 2021 Sounds a shocking performance. Quote
yellowsubmarine Posted September 18, 2021 Posted September 18, 2021 From Barnsley's play, they seem to have a plan on what to do. We are just huffing and puffing and hoping some lucky will come our way. 1 Quote
AdamRochina Posted September 18, 2021 Posted September 18, 2021 i hate how negative our manager is, we don't do sitting back, we are better when we are going for a win, we sit back it shows how poor we can be defensively 1 Quote
tomphil Posted September 18, 2021 Posted September 18, 2021 I've yet to see any point in Clarkson at all, ok they can't all be Harvey Elliot but this lad belongs in the kids. 1 Quote
Popular Post SoldierMo Posted September 18, 2021 Popular Post Posted September 18, 2021 Clarkson before butterworth is criminal 15 Quote
bluebruce Posted September 18, 2021 Posted September 18, 2021 Away draws are fine, by and large. What is going to really stick in the throat though, if we do hold onto a point, is the manager's infuriating decision making AGAIN. Butterworth helped visibly transform the game on Tuesday. So instead of repeating the trick that worked (him and Khadra on, one of them for a more pedestrian midfielder) he repeats the trick that undid us last Saturday (defensive subs). He just doesn't learn. 2 Quote

Problem with loans. For every one that turns out to be decent, two tend to be crap. So far the Brighton lad looks good, the Leeds and Liverpool lads poor. God knows about the bizzarre injured CB loan. 2 Quote
Tugay-is-God Posted September 18, 2021 Posted September 18, 2021 Real evident lack of quality in our team today. Quote
Heinz Posted September 18, 2021 Posted September 18, 2021 (edited) Exactly what we can expect from a manager who plays it safe, rather than go for it. Can already hear the “point in the bag and we move on” post match comment coming up. Edited September 18, 2021 by Heinz 5 Quote
WacoRover Posted September 18, 2021 Posted September 18, 2021 (edited) Games like this & Luton really annoy me. It’s like, be happy with a point, we’re not capable of more. Edited September 18, 2021 by WacoRover Quote
bluebruce Posted September 18, 2021 Posted September 18, 2021 Pickering nearly scoring a bizarre own goal. That's 3 times we have nearly conceded in the last what, 10 minutes? All since the defensive subs brought on to hold onto the point. Fucking clown. 2 Quote

Thought it was "bring your kid to work day" when he came on - wondered whose kid it was... 1 Quote
West Yorks Rover Posted September 18, 2021 Posted September 18, 2021 Let's not forget Barnsley are a huge club and they are years ahead of us in their journey. 1 Quote
booth Posted September 18, 2021 Posted September 18, 2021 Almost a Pickering own goal. Mowbray has really put us under pressure here. Quote
Tugay-is-God Posted September 18, 2021 Posted September 18, 2021 Big chance for Clarkson there. Quote
bluebruce Posted September 18, 2021 Posted September 18, 2021 Clarkson missing our best chance of the game apart from the BB one on one. Have to wonder if Butterworth would have finished it with that rocket shot he has in his locker. Khadra looking a threat. 1 Quote

He doesn't get that we're better defensively when he doesn't play defensively. Takes pressure off the defence and keeps the other team busy. 1 Quote
matt83 Posted September 18, 2021 Posted September 18, 2021 Bloody awful this half and even worse since the substitutions. Quote

matt83 Posted September 18, 2021 Posted September 18, 2021 I’d be tempted to send these loan players back. I’d rather see rovers academy players playing for the benefit of Blackburn Rovers fc than a bunch of similar calibre players playing for the ultimate benefit of Leeds, Liverpool and Brighton. The likes of Elliott are a different kettle of fish but are these current loans any better than what’s already at Ewood I’m not convinced. 7 Quote
