WOOOHOO!!! About time we get to be on the other end of a pasting. And against the genius Mick McCarthy of all managers!

Disclaimer: This is not meant as praise for Mowbray

About time? We scored 5 three times last season didn’t we?

Got to give credit to Mowbray for today. Gets plenty wrong but got to give praise when it’s due.

Unreal result, wouldn't have put a penny on it if you'd given me odds of 10,000 to 1. Second toughest game we have had on paper, but we used that paper to wipe our arse with today.

Incredible result. Well done to Mowbray and the team. Not often a McCarthy team gets demolished like that, have to imagine he'll be furious!

The more points and GD we can accrue during the upward swing the better.

Gallagher surprised me today too. I’m his biggest critic, especially after his shocker in his last match, but he did well today. Hopefully added confidence can push him on like Amigo Díaz!

As usual I wouldn't have made any of the subs he did (well, I'd have done Carter for Lenihan if Lenihan had a knock as they said, otherwise I'd have rather took the chance to rest Ayala ahead of a 3 games in a week run). But at the end of the day we set up right, won 5-1 against a good team, and none of the subs directly backfired (like the potential Gally injury I was worried about), so absolute credit to Tony and the boys today. If he sticks with the counter attacking approach all season, and Ayala stays fit, I'm starting to think we could actually upset the apple cart. But it's early days yet.
