speeeeeeedie Posted May 18, 2022 Posted May 18, 2022 Liverpool beat Southampton 2-1 setting up the title race going down to the last day. Southampton didn't look interested outside of the first and last 10 minutes. They are a funny outfit. Depending on how Thursday's games go 3 teams could be playing to avoid the drop too. If you really stretch it and care that 4th place is still up for grabs then 6 of the 10 games have something extra over points, pride, and placement money to play for. Quote

RoverDom Posted May 18, 2022 Posted May 18, 2022 It's set to be a cracker of a final day. For me there's a feeling that Liverpool could do it. City had a stumble against West ham when they could have put it out of reach and Liverpool win the FA Cup, mentally there's a swing in momentum. Add in the Gerrard and countinho at villa doing Liverpool a favour, the script it written. 1 Quote
roversfan99 Posted May 18, 2022 Posted May 18, 2022 I'm not so sure, against Villa I can see City scoring early and winning comfortably as they often do. 1 Quote
GHR Posted May 18, 2022 Posted May 18, 2022 It's got all the makings of a few years ago when Man City had to beat Brighton away on the final day to win the league. Brighton went 1-0 with about 10 minutes gone, which was then followed by City annihilating from that point onwards to win 4-1... 1 Quote
Exiled_Rover Posted May 19, 2022 Posted May 19, 2022 Everton, Burnley and Leeds are all terrible. It's a shame only one of them can go down. Quote
Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted May 19, 2022 Moderation Lead Posted May 19, 2022 Swear down Everton are doing their best to go down. Useless. Quote
arbitro Posted May 19, 2022 Posted May 19, 2022 Villa should be embarrassed by their performance. Good luck to Burnley who have capitalised on Villa's lethargy but the likes of Watkins and Mings are on already on their sun loungers. Gerrard has to really get stuck into them if they are to improve. Quote
jim mk2 Posted May 19, 2022 Posted May 19, 2022 If it stays like this Burnley need just 1 point in the final game to stay up. They could lose and still stay up if either Everton or Leeds don't win. Quote
davulsukur Posted May 19, 2022 Posted May 19, 2022 Everton really banking on Leeds staying shite to stay up. Quote
Claytons Left Boot Posted May 19, 2022 Posted May 19, 2022 Villa scored, now 1-1. Just need a winner now. Quote
davulsukur Posted May 19, 2022 Posted May 19, 2022 Villa equalise and Everton fight back to 2-2. Go on Villa! Quote
Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted May 19, 2022 Moderation Lead Posted May 19, 2022 Everton, doing bits! Quote

Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted May 19, 2022 Moderation Lead Posted May 19, 2022 Unreal block there from Mings. Quote
Backroom DE. Posted May 19, 2022 Backroom Posted May 19, 2022 Hard to understand why Viera has been lauded recently for taking Palace to 13th. Could finish 14th by the end of the season, which would be exactly the same position they finished last season and the season before. Hardly a revelation. Lose tonight and they've actually won less games than Everton this season. Burnley or Leeds to drop. Tough games on paper for both on Sunday, so could go either way. 3 Quote

davulsukur Posted May 19, 2022 Posted May 19, 2022 Everton now safe, Dingles down to 10 with in last few mins. Can Villa take advantage?! Quote

Palace were a disgrace in the second half. Everton have done JUST enough AGAIN to survive. What a horrible little club. 1 Quote
Cherry Blue Posted May 19, 2022 Posted May 19, 2022 Villa have been whimps throughout this game. Barnes should have been sent off for his elbowing in first half but I think Burnley have enough in them to stay up after a point tonight. 1 Quote
davulsukur Posted May 19, 2022 Posted May 19, 2022 Chris Wood to send the Dingles down on the last day of the season. Poetic. 1 Quote
jim mk2 Posted May 19, 2022 Posted May 19, 2022 Small town or big town in Yorkshire to go down on the final day? I'm backing the small town because they're Lanky like us 1 Quote
