We had nobody who could control him at all. Poveda? Clarkson? Worse than a waste of space. Basically we have too many small or slight players who can't mix it. I mean put the feckin boot in. 3 Quote

Wood26 Posted September 28, 2021 Posted September 28, 2021 Young team and small squad is always going to cost us at points during the season. Still did well to fight back twice, the injuries really didn’t help. Im done with Poveda. He had a chance to shoot that Butterworth would of absolutely banged at goal. Rest of time he gave it away, again. 2 Quote

Get used to it - no matter their performances they’ll be at least off the bench every game. Tony won’t want to upset Bielsa or Klopp. So frustrating when we have better in our under 23s. 5 Quote

Wheelton Blue Posted September 28, 2021 Posted September 28, 2021 A good manager would counter the loss of key players through training, solid formations and tactics, where every player, including the subs, knows their role. Mowbray just chucks on a random assortment and hopes for the best. 2 Quote
Backroom Tom Posted September 28, 2021 Backroom Posted September 28, 2021 Struggle to remember a time when every sub you bring on performs that poorly. Magloire - sadly looks well out of his depth Clarkson - I don’t really get this one, just doesn’t seem to offer anything Khadra - nothing came off for him tonight Poveda - shocker, looks over weight and uninterested 5 Quote
Bad Boy Posted September 28, 2021 Posted September 28, 2021 What a 2nd rate display. 2nd to every ball and outplayed. Gally back to his donkey display and ringing Poveda on who has two left feet. What about Butterworth. Quote

The general standard of this league this season is very very average. Anyone half decent could go up. Mowbrays committment to play his loans, regardless of how they perform, one way or another will do for us over a season. 4 Quote

Certainly doesn’t look like a player trying to prove he belongs a level up. Classless. Doesn't have the work ethic needed. Would have been a good fit last season, but the current squad is different. Just hope they keep the workrate up even if they should hit a slump. 1 Quote

Popular Post BlueBro Posted September 28, 2021 Popular Post Posted September 28, 2021 (edited) Just witnessed 2 of the worst substitutions imaginable. Mowbray obviously more concerned about satisfying liverpool and leeds than his own team. The nature of the game was totally unsuited to Poveda and Clarkson, whereas Butterworth and Edun would have been appropriate. Sackable behaviour by Mowbray. Wood26 Posted September 28, 2021 Posted September 28, 2021 Nyambe, Lenihan and Rothwell all off. Imagine taking Brereton out that team as well, and you have a glimpse in to our future. Bit dramatic, but also kinda true. 3 Quote

neophox Posted September 28, 2021 Posted September 28, 2021 Edun would had been better on for Nyambe. 1 Quote

Great cameo the other day, and I fully agree he deserves a chance over those who came off the bench…but he was puffing out of his arse after 15 minutes against Hull. Quote

The loanees are struggling, but the issue is not whether they block the academy players, its whether they are good enough. We have loads of academy players in the team, including at the other end where one was poor and the other a total liability. Quote
