bluebruce Posted October 30, 2021 Posted October 30, 2021 Go on lads!! Buckley looking ropey at the back but that was a good dangerous cross. If Nyambe could cross like that he'd be playing for a top half Prem team. 2 Quote
moerpho Posted October 30, 2021 Posted October 30, 2021 Big Ben!!! Awesome! Good game this btw…. Quote

Exiled_Rover Posted October 30, 2021 Posted October 30, 2021 I'm constantly amazed by the incompetence of football managers. The ONLY way Buckley can hurt you from RB is if you get lazy and allow him to cross from deep. Which is exactly what they did for the Brereton goal (I'm not convinced it crossed the line!). Do they not actually research the opposition? Quote
WacoRover Posted October 30, 2021 Posted October 30, 2021 Great start, if we’ve learned anything, we need more 1 Quote

only2garners Posted October 30, 2021 Posted October 30, 2021 I’ve not seen it but given they will have goal line technology I would be fairly confident. Quote
OldEwoodBlue Posted October 30, 2021 Posted October 30, 2021 Currently in 6th Shhhh don't tell Tony. Quote
Exiled_Rover Posted October 30, 2021 Posted October 30, 2021 Van Hecke would be a terrific permanent signing for this level. 5 Quote

He finished the game at RB against Reading and a cursory glance at our squad / Mowbray's selection history suggests he was probably going to play there today. Quote
moerpho Posted October 30, 2021 Posted October 30, 2021 Close from Van Hecke (sp?). See Derby keep attacking Buckley but he is getting good help and it leaves Derby a bit one-dimensional. We should win this one, but afraid we need 2 more…. Quote

He can't though and probably never will I know, just a shame you can't splice the best attributes of players together, heh. Would have loved to see a Jason Roberts/Benni McCarthy blend of their best attributes. A Roberts workrate and strength with Benni's technique and finishing...would never have played for Rovers tbf! Nyambe, you're right, will probably never be able to cross like that with any consistency. I do think he can still improve in that area though...maybe under a better coaching setup from after this summer eh? 😞 For now, he is best at getting to the byline in the box and cutting it back. 1 Quote
chaddyrovers Posted October 30, 2021 Author Posted October 30, 2021 Brereton Diaz again 2 nil Rovers Quote
Backroom Tom Posted October 30, 2021 Backroom Posted October 30, 2021 Buckley is by far a better crosser than Nyambe but to be fair that looked like it took a deflection to direct it perfectly Quote
SuperBrfc Posted October 30, 2021 Posted October 30, 2021 Our new Chilean striker is brilliant!! Well worth the £7m we paid for him 😁. 5 Quote
