A name thats cropped up, no club, short deal end of season, not sure money be a lot. Dont know if much in it, was mentioned in passing.

Mentioned in passing by someone on the Internet pal, or someone who knows things? Genuine question.

Stop comparing normal jobs to ones where the person is already being paid exceedingly well and is potentially jeopardising the prospects of all of his teammates.

A bit strong. It leaves a sour taste but he is doing what he needs to to manufacture a move to a club that will see him get presumably a big pay rise, not factoring in other factors, everyone would do the same.

Know they wouldn’t. What absolute nonsense. This is not living on the edge no money to feed the kids scenario. We would all back a man that has to do what he had to do. This has disloyalty to the men in the tranches with him. It’s not about the fans it’s about the guys you’ve sat next to ever day for years. The chance for everybody to get a bonus. I cannot on any level as a man understand him. It just astounds me. I remember Shearer saying he only ever wanted to look at himself in the mirror and say he’d done all he could. There is no way that he believes this is the mans way. It’s disgusting. Probably even more than Bradley Orr because we have a chance and he couldn’t put the team first.
I apologise its a word I find offensive but what a cunt

Bournemouth really aying silly buggars aren't they.  Rattle Rothwells and Rovers cages, make like they want Rothwhore then watch who we go for and go sign them as well?  What do they not fancy their chances of going up based on their exploits on the field they have to throw money around to scoop up players we want.

I'm at the point where I'm now not arsed about Rothwell.  He can just F off.

I am concerned that we were told yesterday - by Mowbray that they could  get 2 talented  23/4 yr old  champ players in on long contracts - with that money.

So do I believe we'd sell him to Bournemouth? Undoubtedly.

Do I think we'll get these 2 players in by tomorrow?  Not remotely convinced.

I really want to believe Mowbray….I’m accepting that JR has gone down to Bournemouth - Hopefully it’s in anticipation of a move DEPENDANT on the ones we do.

Ill be furious if tmrw ticks by at 11pm and we’re chatting shit about all the ones we’ve missed 🙈

No to Curtis

Obi Mikel - doesn't fit the profile of a 23/4 year old championship talent.

No idea about Giles.

I think Giles is the ‘versatile’ one Mowbray mentioned, pre the Rothwell news breaking. He can play LWB or Further forwards 👍🏼

The outrage shows exactly how important he Rothwell was to the team. Just gutting. Can't express how deflated I am.

Those playing the blame game, lets be honest it needs to be shared. Tony should of pushed for him to have gotten tied down to a better deal long before this season, he was clearly a talented player and wasn't gonna cost a bomb when he was under the radar few years back. The board and Waggott for playing hard ball on the wages front and clearly upsetting players by undervaluing them and lack of planning. Finally Joe himself has conducted himself very poorly. There is obviously the appeal of more money but there is a way of doing it without completely staining your character.

What is with all of the conspiracy theories? Assuming that is true, surely a bigger bonus would come with promotion?

Expand

Probably because selling our best player to our main promotion rival is inexplicable in normal circumstances?

It’s done. Medical first thing in the morning. Transfer won’t be announced until we’ve signed replacements but there’s a verbal agreement and Joe will arrive in Bournemouth in a couple of hours.

Just someone who has come up trumps before, not heard it myself from the usuals, but as its turning into rothwell thread  thought i'd put it out there so we can consider incomings

We've been here before.  Except never whilst second in the league.

Striker/midfielder/wing back cover - on top of Hedges is the bare minimum.  If we really have these things in place,  they will break tonight/early morning. No news by then and we're screwed.

Forget Rothwell, there are other younger players out there, we have to move on and quickly. Dembele would have been ideal, now I think Styles is probably one of our better options.

Don't want to see loans as cover, it won't send the right signals. A good perm signing.

Shocking short termism, no one can do what Rothwell can in this division.

Fingers crossed its not the guy who told you Rothwell would be categorically not sold.

Mowbray wants him nowhere near. He’s told him to get to Bournemouth tonight rather than leaving the training ground tomorrow. @glen9mullansaid that Venkys and Suhail where insisting he stayed, but they’ve listened to Mowbray.
