Rothwell's white flag performance against Fulham. Davenport's 90 minute performance against Sheff. Utd. Rothwell is our most creative player when he can be bothered, but Mowbray challenged him to play a more hard-working, committed, senior squad member role in the 2nd half against Fulham, and Rothwell was unable or unwilling to even try to contribute a single run or tackle in the whole 50 minutes. Talent on its own is not enough. 1 Quote

Gone to seed Posted November 20, 2021 Posted November 20, 2021 (edited) Nyambe having a shocker. Slow, clumsy, error prone and now a foul throw. Now a cynical foul and yellow card. He's not interested! Davenport having a good game so far, with some cruching tackles. Bristol threatening with their attacking play - just missed an open goal! Feck! We don't have an answer to their long throws / direct balls in. If we go behind I can;t see how we would get back in at this point. Not sure why their player didn't get a yellow for fouling Buckley, then kicking his boot away, FEEECCKK 1-0 Edited November 20, 2021 by WIR Second Coming Quote

Miker Posted November 20, 2021 Posted November 20, 2021 Standard rusty Rovers after an international break. Bristol mostly threatening from set pieces, but they're getting enough opportunities that it's a worry. Edun and Davenport have been our best players so far. Poveda and Khadra look lively but it's not come off for them just yet. Nyambe having a poor game. 1 Quote
booth Posted November 20, 2021 Posted November 20, 2021 It was always coming 1-0 to (then) 18th placed Bristol. Quote
yellowsubmarine Posted November 20, 2021 Posted November 20, 2021 Nyambe has been shit so far to be honest. Quote

rovers11 Posted November 20, 2021 Posted November 20, 2021 (edited) When did they last win a game at home? We’re a great team to play if you need a win. We’re a soft touch. Edited November 20, 2021 by rovers11 2 Quote
Gone to seed Posted November 20, 2021 Posted November 20, 2021 Wharton lucky to avoid a yellow there Quote

I suppose if this more disappointing performance continues for 90 minutes, we will be more prepared to accept changing the team to match the opposition in future. We just can't keep the ball, and are inviting pressure. This is why we are mid-table mediocrity. Edun is not good enough at the moment. Pickering back soon. Quote

In this formation you're choosing between Buckley and Rothwell really. Davenport never makes two good games in a row. I would have started Ayala and a refreshed Rothwell after a long international break.... well see we are 1-0 down now... Quote
Gone to seed Posted November 20, 2021 Posted November 20, 2021 Ball in the net, but Diaz marginally offside... Quote
neophox Posted November 20, 2021 Posted November 20, 2021 Mowbray out!! We hade the international break ready for a change...still the same shit. 1 Quote
AllRoverAsia Posted November 20, 2021 Posted November 20, 2021 Do they just have a holiday in the international break? Shambolic. Giving far too many fouls away. Has Nyambe been on the sauce, he is pants today. Still a long time to go yet. Quote
Exiled_Rover Posted November 20, 2021 Posted November 20, 2021 I'm Nyambe's biggest fan but we're playing with 10 today. Horrendous performance. 1 Quote

Backroom DE. Posted November 20, 2021 Backroom Posted November 20, 2021 More to the puzzle than just keeping the same lineup, it seems. Just shows how utterly poor Sheff Utd were a couple of weeks ago. Mowbray's luck always seems to come in just when he needs it. Quote
