Another good driving run from Rothwell, resulting him being blatantly cleaned out.

Rothy gets us frothy

That was a forearm shiver.

I wouldn't be surprised if he's out for the weekend. He looked concussed.

Brilliant win only soured by wanky QPR getting a goal and keeping us off 6th.

We don't want to be in the top 6 yet, only bad things happen when we're in playoff positions, leave it until the last game of the season.

QPR's result isn't a total disaster as it does push Hudds further below us. Somehow we're within 3 points of the mighty WBA and their parachute payments...

Always fear after a good win like tonight that the pressure if off for a win and therefore results in a lacklustre display. Almost an attitude of "ah we won the last one"...need to go and get a result at Stoke and start showing some consistency.

Nice first half even not playing well.... thats a top side...

Brereton scoring for fun. Looks far better than Armstrong, 16 goals so far and not in december yet astonishing. Only Mitrovic is better.

Pickering back from injury had an great impact and seems to calm things down. A future captain.

Wharton growing for every game and Lenihan looked composed. Rothwell did not seem bothered but did come up with two asists.

Buckley composed and calm but tired and Dolan worked his socks of and it was him harassing a defender that led to Breretons first goal.

Next up Stoke.

The 7-0 disaster has led to...

Seven points in nine games. Fair enough, good response.

Stoke away will be tougher as they're shithouses, but they aren't anything to be afraid of, that's for sure.

Might be a little easier now as Joe Allen sent off at Bristol.

I think we were more than slightly fortunate to keep a clean sheet, but we spanked them 4-0 in second gear so it'd be churlish to dwell too much on that.

Wharton, Pickering, Lenihan and Rothwell all excellent. Kick on against Stoke at the weekend and we could finish the day in level third!

Joe Allen is maybe one of their most important leaders..no harm that.

Ratings are up on the homepage - https://www.brfcs.com/magazine/football/match/717019/blackburn-peterborough

I’ve gone with high scores for Nyambe, Wharton, Rothwell and Brereton.

Given the kicking that he got for his performance vs Bristol, good to see Nyambe looking much better today.

I didn't really get the sense that any of the chances we conceded were down to the defence, rather we lost the ball further up the pitch and they broke on us a bit too easily.

Easiest game of football we'll play all season, unless we get them claret wankers in the Cup.

Hopefully Ayala isn't badly injured as we're walking a tightrope again now at centre half.

Despite the losing to a poor Bristol side tonight, Stoke will be tough. They were on a decent little run so hopefully the loss tonight knocks the wind out their sails a bit rather than us facing a backlash. Should be a decent following as well especially after tonight's result.

Wharton really impressive again, he looks like captain material to me, love his vocal presence and cool, calm style - it seems to rub off on the players around him.
