So the virus is less transmissions outdoor where football seating is but its still fine to attend supermarket, or Christmas shopping in Manchester or go to a pub or restaurant which are indoors. I think one thing you aren't understanding is, that it's not necessarily the sitting outdoors watching the football that is the main issue (although big gathering probably aren't ideal at the moment, and that's from somebody who really wants to keep going games!) Last time one of the main reasons was because it stopped thousands of people using public transport to get to the games every weekend, I'm sure that will play a factor if they decide to go down this route again. Yes I know you are triple jabbed and wear face masks etc, so please don't tell us all again! Quote

Mattyblue Posted December 21, 2021 Posted December 21, 2021 (edited) He seems to really struggle to differentiate between what he, and many others, of course, want or think should happen, with the realities of what probably will happen. Edited December 21, 2021 by Mattyblue 3 Quote
Tyrone Shoelaces Posted December 21, 2021 Posted December 21, 2021 That’s the point. We all want to carry on with Rovers playing and fans being able to attend as normal but is the virus listening ? Quote
Rogerb Posted December 24, 2021 Posted December 24, 2021 Wigan unable to fulfill the Crewe fixture due to injuries and covid. Two weeks to recover. Quote

Rogerb Posted December 30, 2021 Posted December 30, 2021 Been trying to buy on line for this but immediately timed out. Not seen any announcement it is sold out. Quote
Mattyblue Posted December 30, 2021 Posted December 30, 2021 Wouldn’t have thought so, they were still selling them in the middle-ish blocks when I bought mine yesterday. That shite ticket site playing up again is the most likely explanation… Quote

Mattyblue Posted December 30, 2021 Posted December 30, 2021 (edited) Yeah, was online. Just a very hit and miss system for away tickets, I find. All I can think of is that they’ve sold out of one batch and they haven’t added anymore yet. Edited December 30, 2021 by Mattyblue 1 Quote
MarkBRFC Posted December 30, 2021 Posted December 30, 2021 Don't think we'll even sell the original 2k allocation for this one unfortunately. Quote
Mattyblue Posted December 30, 2021 Posted December 30, 2021 Can never work Rovers away fans out. Wouldn’t have surprised me if the whole stand had sold in days, but under 2k isn’t a shock either. Quote
tomphil Posted December 30, 2021 Posted December 30, 2021 I'm sure a lot are feeling a bit like me just really can't be bothered with the cup when doing so well in the league. I was going to say i hope he turns out the kids but they are all playing anyway 🤣 Lets not forget the lockdown rumours either that won't help, i'll be going but won't be buying until just before or on the day. I reckon there'll be 2.5 thousand there at least come the day. Preston, Bolton fans etc will mock but they've flock all else to play for and if we were our usual midtable i'd expect a lot more interest in't cup. Quote
Mattyblue Posted December 30, 2021 Posted December 30, 2021 Oh I get it. But then if you recall we played Bolton away twice in the 2001 promotion season. We sold the cup tie out pretty much straight away but didn’t get particularly close to doing so for the top of the table crunch league game (granted it was a night match). Quote
tomphil Posted December 30, 2021 Posted December 30, 2021 Wouldn't be surprised if the ticket prices had something to do with that and the live tv. It's the perils of a limited fanbase again that's the main factor imo, an element will still pick and choose. Quote
Mattyblue Posted December 30, 2021 Posted December 30, 2021 Ah well, be easier to get served in Wigan Central… 1 Quote

MarkBRFC Posted January 1, 2022 Posted January 1, 2022 I imagine there's loads left. Rovers fans have been notorious for buying late though when there is no rush to buy a ticket, hopefully a good result tomorrow will spur on sales closer to Saturday. Hopefully make it pay on the day too. Quote

ABRAM ROVER Posted January 4, 2022 Posted January 4, 2022 Sounds like initial allocation of 2k is sold out and we have asked for a further 1k. With the covid measure cap at 10k this might mean that there are no sales on the day if Wigan think this will be a sub 10k gate so if you are planning on paying on the day I wouldn't chance it. Quote
