Still annoys me more than it should that Bournemouth are ball number 1 due to them putting the 'AFC' before their name rather than after like everyone else.

Shouldn't be allowed and they should be further down the list.

I agree Bournemouth & Boscombe

Well it's local, winnable and hopefully cheap so a decent day out on the cards.

I worry about these lot getting stuck into our lads though, dirty Wigan.

A feeling they'll move this for TV. But Wigan more than beatable, I've seen them on several occasions this season. They have a system that works for them in League 1 but Richardson isn't upto much for me.

I suppose a lot depends on what team we put out. I can’t see any of the key players being risked, especially if we’re still in the top six.

Same for them I suppose

For us it's a game for the Carters, Butterworths , JRCS and Davenports

Really hope they don't. Beyond the obvious reasons, they've had some absolutely woeful FA cup gates over the years (they're not alone I suppose) so it won't do much for the 'magic of the cup' if a 20% full stadium is plastered on the TV screens. Not a classic draw by any means, so maybe a supposed derby has a chance of getting picked, but fingers crossed they'll be sensible and look elsewhere.

Interesting view about Richardson. I don't really follow their results closely enough to really know one way or another, but having spoken to a couple of their fans there's a perception that he might've been the brains behind Cook's success. Obviously easy to make 5 from 2+2 when Cook was doing badly at Ipswich, but that perception is definitely there. Their squad looks like your standard 'good for league 1, not good enough for the Championship' outfit with the likes of Max Power, Will Keane et al. Will have to wait to see what sort of team we put out, but I expect us to win.

I doubt it will be a game picked for one of the UK TV live slots.

However, a load of 3rd round ties have been moved to early Saturday and Sunday KOs in recent seasons due to that foreign TV deal, from memory with the BBC also putting on a Soccer Saturday style show at the same time showing goals as they go in.

Yeah I think if it's moved it'll be more foreign TV stuff. I was at Rochdale Plymouth on Sunday who had ITV and foreign broadcasting, which is hardly a bumper tie.

I know it is a naive viewpoint but viewers abroad should NEVER be prioritised and games should never be moved for overseas TV, affecting match going fans in the process.

I suspect that my attendance may depend on when the game is played, if the game is changed day then it may be much more difficult for me, and perhaps to a lesser extent if it is moved to earlier or later in the day. The schedule of the third round last time fans could attend was farcical.

But ultimately none of the authorities give a shit about the match going fan anymore so I suspect that it will be moved for the mass amount of viewers about to tune in around the globe to watch a much changed Wigan side play a much changed Rovers side.

Yeah, we'll do well to get a Saturday 3pm kick off for this, the past three years kick off times for the 3rd round have been all over the place.

Must admit I'd forgotten how bad the scheduling for this was last year. I've just looked back and about 40% of the games were played on the Sunday. Assuming that's because of demand from broadcasters, that's an absolute disgrace.

The game has not been chosen for live UK TV coverage. Unsurprisingly every chosen game has at least one PL team. Of course it could still end up being moved as per last season.

There was no chance it would be moved for UK TV with all the top PL sides in action.

We were actually one of the few to have a Saturday 3pm KO last season.

Don't think we will this season.

Rovers have in the past hidden behind "police requests" as we did when we kept having home games against Preston and Leeds at half 12 or 12 o clock and it turned out that no such strict requests had been made.

They should just leave it at 3 o clock.
