You can just feel it, everything has turned.

The BS with the primary kit sponsor.......

Hull City playing games with their squad health to avoid us when we were red-hot........

......then of course they have to have this "new owner bump" the night they're playing us.........

.......in a match with a rookie ref completely out of his depth who was trying to compensate for what I believe is his only other match

ever at this level, which was shite.  So..................

......he blows a penalty/strait red call........

.......& the guy who should be off keeps another goal out just a little after that.

I feel like I did the night after the Derby away match in January of '98 (I watched the Steelers (IN PERSON) lose an AFC Championship Game a few hours later) .

I really hope I'm wrong, but this feels like the beginning of that slide in '98.  We'll be lucky just to make the playoffs.

You don’t make the playoffs based on luck.

Poor performance. From us and the referee. The lads need us though. Moan here, cheer them at the stadium. Really disappointed they got booed off at half time, doesn't do anything for them that!

Deserved the booing it was abysmal for a team at the very top of the championship.

Surely it was the ref they booed...useless.

It’s not often I’m positive, but let’s be clear here…

1) Rovers would have absolutely battered this lot on Boxing Day.

2) The postponement has favoured Hull in every aspect

3) We should have had a penalty

4) They should have had a red

5) The player that should have been sent off cleared one off the line

6) The second goal was a clear intentional block on Kaminski

7) We can’t win every game

8)) I’m going to give benefit of the doubt that we’ve only played this insane 3-4-3 formation due to player injuries, suspensions and COVID cases.

100%.

I will admit that we were far from at our best again & started slowly, but all teams MUST be able to rely on officials being competent.

Every key decision went against us; the none penalty & red card (which totally changes the game after what, 25 mins?), shortly followed by the clearance by their last man who shouldn't have been on the pitch.  Then their 2nd goal where TK was clearly fouled. There was another time too, the corner when they hit the post, that Eaves shoved Wharton (or Van Hecke) into Kaminski, putting them both out of the game for the corner, not seen or given.

I'm fuming, absolutely fuming.

Are you sure they weren't booing the ref? I'd be really surprised if the team was booed off by our fans at HT. A turgid first 45, for sure, but we've seen plenty of those in the past when we've been in much worse league positions and not heard the team booed off.

Deserved? It achieves absolutely nothing apart from affecting the young side negatively. 3/4-0 down then fine, express it, but we all want the team to succeed and booing them isn't helping them succeed.

The Sky commentators were right ........ if you're not up for the game in the Championship you'll lose

Rovers were back to the bad old days tonight, slow out of the blocks and on their back heels for most of the first half. The tone was set and we never recovered nor looked likely to.

Mowbray has to get them on the front foot from the start every single match.

How could they not? It's fact. All they could talk about was a new dawn at Hull and how we deserved nothing. They've always had a down on us since Jack 'bought' the title and nothings changed. They're a bloody disgrace.

Anyone mention the fact that the Hull player was the last man - surely penalty and red card ?

I said a while ago that we could be undone by poor refereeing - and tonight it came to haunt us.

Lets be honest - we were at best ok - don't think that Hull are that good - but goals change matches - not just in the obvious way but in the flow of the match.

Not certain if Davenport isn't 100% fit or has run over TM's cat - but couldn't understand Johnston rather than him (or even should have started).

On the positive - we had to be beat some time - better it a team we aren't competing at the top for. Also - I thought Markanday showed some good touches when on the ball - Rothwell I thought was immense (but due to poor tactics in the wrong areas).

Nyambe and (hopefully) Travis back for Monday should make all the difference - and off-set the loss of Diaz who has lost a little of his sparkle recently (though battled hard).

TM tinkering, poor refereeing or too thin a squad - take your pick. Personally the referee decided the match more than TM or depth in the squad.

Really, really bad tonight, and I fear it's going to get worse on Monday. Feels like our luck and momentum has run out, with performances on the decline and the squad beginning to look stretched and unbalanced. Ideas of 'bouncing back' and this result being a one off ignore the context of our recent performances I'm afraid.

Spot on post DE (love JRC’s analysis). Couldn’t agree more with this either. I would wager Mercer money that we’ll lose on Monday. Sky cameras, an in form - and tight at the back - Boro, Gallagher a shoe in, tinkering Tony back.

I bloody hope I’m wrong.

JRC was poor. Just have to say that because I've been a big fan of his, but he didn't do enough on the ball and he had a bad night against Lewis-Potter. Zeefuik will be a welcomed addition. Markanday did a few bits and bobs, hope he starts in Breo's absence on Monday.

You're missing the point.......the vibes are bad.  This was our chance to set the pace & no one looked even remotely up for it; that's a bad sign. We need to win emphatically on Monday.

Seriously if a few BOOs from fans or comments affect players so much they cannot play well, then they need to toughen up mentally.  There's plenty of research into sports psychology and guess what it all says?  Mental toughness is critical and a few BOOS shouldn't be enough to put a player off their game.

Boo's do not help the team. They are futile. It just adds pressure and worry. Moan here, support in the stands, that's the way I see it.

Nyambe will be straight back in Monday night hopefully.

We’ve no chance against the form team with two fullbacks out and our top scorer in an oxygen tank.

Just doing their job. If we'd won 2-0 they'd be giving us the big treatment. It's hard to listen to and watch when you're losing but the commentators were rightly giving Hull their due for a match they were not expected to win.

But they only won because of a totally inept referee. Penalty - potentially 1-1 - and down to 10 men - would have been a totally different match. Lets not forget - this was also at a time when our game was starting to come together and we had the ascendancy. Goals and refereeing decisions change the flow of matches - the idiots at Sky seem to ignore that.

At this point if Gallagher starts it is purely to justify his wage and new contract. It's clear that he unbalances the side when he's in it, and at best he should be an impact sub. I suppose it's possible he plays through the middle on Monday with BBD absent, but I never feel comfortable ascribing a logical decision to our manager. We'll see.

We basically need Boro to be like us tonight and not be up for it on Monday, if we're to have any chance. With Wilder at the helm I sadly think that's highly unlikely.

This is exactly what I can't understand. Davenport must be wondering what he has to do. He must be abysmal in training!

He must wonder what's happening when 25 stone Bradley Johnson waddles onto the pitch in front of him.

Edit: Bet he can't wait to leave the Club.
