garnersfags Posted December 26, 2021 Posted December 26, 2021 Strange combination of nerves and anxiety today, I've been supremely confident before the last 4 games, but maybe the likelihood of being equal top in a few hours has spooked me, with the added fear that it could still be called off at 2pm. I know we will be fine if TM is able and willing to play the same team, but it is a good shout by Sky as Hull will be pressured by the crowd to have a go at us after their recent decent run, so should be an end to end game. Surely, if we are 'top' on Boxing Day, the owners or decision makers will be encouraged to do all it takes to keep this squad together til May. This is what I'm really nervous about. COYMB, you've restored our faith and hope in the last few weeks, and we are all grateful. 3 Quote

USABlue Posted December 26, 2021 Posted December 26, 2021 Great following, on telly, interest building, great league position this is exactly the kind of hurdle we usually trip over. Let's see if this group can be different. 2 Quote

Miller11 Posted December 26, 2021 Posted December 26, 2021 The only nagging doubt is that Boxing Day fixtures often throw out a few freak results. Still confident though. 3-1 win. Quote

garnersfags Posted December 26, 2021 Posted December 26, 2021 Just after a really positive Rovers chat in 5 Live. How very, very sad. Quote
tomphil Posted December 26, 2021 Posted December 26, 2021 Inevitable. Still at least Hull sold plenty tickets.... Quote
BigBar Posted December 26, 2021 Posted December 26, 2021 Well that's a sickener was all set up for it, few cans, fire on, kids occupied. 2 hours away, load of bollix. Quote
Wheelton Blue Posted December 26, 2021 Posted December 26, 2021 2 hours before KO is a disgrace. 2 Quote
TruRover Posted December 26, 2021 Posted December 26, 2021 That’s an absolute joke. Hull clearly waiting as long as possible to reel in as many sales as possible before calling it. Doubt there’ll be refunds - just replacement ticket. 3 Quote
Gav Posted December 26, 2021 Posted December 26, 2021 (edited) Scandalous. Football fans just don’t matter, bollox to them, they’ll come back next week regardless….. Train, eat, pick up your wage. Train, eat, pick up your wage. Covid being used as an excuse for a break across the country at the expense of the fans. Edited December 26, 2021 by Gav 3 Quote
Lucimo Posted December 26, 2021 Posted December 26, 2021 I wasn't going but this is absolute bollocks to be called off now. It has been inevitable all week imo and the decision should have been made before the fans travelled 3 Quote
1864roverite Posted December 26, 2021 Posted December 26, 2021 Wonder which team is affected by covid? Quote
Backroom Tom Posted December 26, 2021 Backroom Posted December 26, 2021 Awful, really feel for fans that have lost a huge chunk of Boxing Day on the road for nothing Be keen to know if these are all confirmed cases / isolating or if embellished by ‘injuries’ like Everton Gut feeling is a few players missing and then flesh it out to avoid having to play with a weakened team 2 Quote

Popular Post garnersfags Posted December 26, 2021 Popular Post Posted December 26, 2021 (edited) It is criminal that both clubs haven't kept the long suffering fans abreast of how near they were to calling the game off. The only negative impact of doing this would've been a lower attendance. So what? It shows a total disregard for the fans of both clubs. There hasn't been a single rumour on here over the last 2 days about possible cases, in either camp, never mind any announcements that Hull were close to the threshold. There must have been numerous cases and a number of PCR tests following positive LFD tests yesterday and Friday. It was both club's professional and moral duty to keep fans informed of this. People have travelled from over 200 miles away for this game. Simple communication. So sad. Edited December 26, 2021 by garnersfags 10 Quote
CambridgeRover Posted December 26, 2021 Posted December 26, 2021 Sodding joke, can't have it cancelled this late on. Pathetic from Hull 1 Quote
