A few out of contract too and plenty with an eye on the door. Their owners seem to swallow the PL money I’d be surprised if they set the league alight. Truth. They had one of the oldest squads in the PL this year, if not the oldest. Quote

Not like we don't have our fair share of that. I'm pretty stuffed. Couldn't even squeeze in a dessert. I have got a bit of space for their salty tears though. 😀 6 Quote

AllRoverAsia Posted May 22, 2022 Posted May 22, 2022 I would have preferred Leeds relegation but must say that Burnley are a difficult watch. Leeds are generally better viewing. That early loan repayment was an unknown to me, what a fecking crazy agreement that only desperate fools would sign up to. Comes into effect when revenue decreases substantially .... this will have a profound knock on effect. Were the shareholders fully paid out the the club sale? If not they may be waiting a while more ..... Not good. Quote

Those parachute payments will be used to service the debts. Tarkowski and Pope will be off - both have run down their contracts, so they won't get a good price. This is the stuff of nightmares for Burnley and I'm here for it. 23 minutes ago, arbitro said: There is some real dread over there about the future. The rumoured £50+ million payment will be brought forward from 2025 according to reports. That effectively wipes out the parachute money and they have to find millions for interest payments before a ball is kicked. Any player of quality will be off. After they scoffed and laughed at us with our horrible owners it's payback time. 18 minutes ago, chaddyrovers said: Well done Leeds and Newcastle on relegating Burnley back to the championship. Welcome back to the Championship. They need massive decisions over the finances of the club and next managerial appointment plus the playing squad decisions. Yes Burnley have to pay back a loan of 65 million pounds back now. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/sportsnews/article-10783901/Burnley-slapped-65MILLION-fine-relegated-2026.html Win lose or draw I like to keep up my end of the bargain and put in an appearance. Today and over the course of the season we got what we deserved. We can have no complaints - in fact the signs were there last season. on the money front, lots of nonsense and half facts being spouted. The loan CAN be called in or the terms renegotiated - it isn’t a given it will be. Also they didn’t take all the cash, still around 30 million was left in the club. That said we have the 60 million loan to pay/service AND additional payments to the previous owners due so still plenty to pay out. That said we will get good money for a few players, that and the parachutes probably around 200 million. When everything is factored in I doubt we will be pulling any trees up next season - a second relegation seems more likely than an immediate return to me. But we shall see. Anyway I shall see you through the coach windows next season I’m sure 😬 29 Quote

Bloody he'll Jim our main rivals have been relegated ffs. When it happened to us there was a plane flying over Ewood with some derogatory slogan on it and they ripped the piss out of us. Claytons Left Boot Posted May 22, 2022 Posted May 22, 2022 Been down in Dorset all week. A cliff top walk today, where we’ve been able to look across Poole Harbour to Premier League AFC Bournemouth.. One in, one out and it’s Bonleh that are out. Poor things, they must be distraught. Never thought I’d hear myself say this but I feel quite sorry for them. Mmmmmmphwoahhhhhhhhhhahahahahahahaha!!! 2 Quote
