His team just got absolutely embarrassed yet I haven't heard a lick of criticism. He was unbelievably arrogant / naive to set his team up like that away at Man City, but everyone is just shrugging their shoulders. Just wait till they're getting pumped every week. sympatheticclaret
Just had a little time to digest this result ... with a couple of " Rennies " if truth be told !! Whilst some posters have enjoyed the understandable " Schadenfreude ", others of you have foreseen what might happen if you get through at Bramhall Lane, and end up facing Manchester City at Wembley in the semi-final ... In time honoured fashion, we're now set to " concentrate on the League " .... 😁

I just hope JDT was watching. Getting beat by City is no shame - but there was a few pointers to how to play Burnley in that game. Granted we don't have a Haaland - but 1-0 will do for me. With all due respect you also don’t have Foden, DeBruyne etc etc. If you watch part of our issue today was in every position their players were so much better than we face week in and out we could get near them in the press - and even if we did they had the quality to brush us off. I’m not saying you can’t learn something from today but for me the way you played against Leicester is what you should be looking for to beat us.

Correct, that really is clutching at straws. Following one mistake by making another mistake never ends well in sport as we know only too well at Rovers. Appointing Kean, keeping him on when he came within an ace of relegating us, then keeping him on when he did actually relegate us is a classic example. Nobody can tell me that wasn’t deliberate. Show me another example of such stupidity. Edited March 21, 2023 by Tyrone Shoelaces

jim mk2
Palace, Southampton and Bournemouth would be a nice trio for the drop - 3 southern clubs to be replaced (hopefully) by 3 northern clubs including 2 from Lancashire 😁 Having seen them play Rovers in the Cup though I wouldn't be surprised if Leicester went down. They looked a poor side (albeit without Maddison that night).
philipl
I do hope there are some dingles in Malta at the moment. The editor who does the weekend football compilation video sent out on cable to all bars etc is a mad keen Citeh nut. He has only spliced City's 6 in between every other match highlight with each repeat shown from a different camera angle at the Etihad. And with it being international break it is showing 24 hours yesterday, today and up until kick off time tomorrow.🤣

toogs
What's the official reason for the Burnley allocation being so low?
superniko
In the lower tier apparently too - thought we'd chuck them in the upper tier given the allocation
Popular Post Mattyblue
‘Tin pot mentality’ according to their forum. Surely giving away teams 7,000+ tickets purely for a payday is much more small time/lower league. Big game, so maximising home advantage, fair enough.
tomphil
2k and they are total meltdown it's a terrific thing to see. Taking over the home sections instead apparently, now where have we heard that before... Personally i'd have given them the upper tier and 1500 downstairs and made it a 'bubble' for them. However well done to those at Ewood who for once have put the team and fans feeling before money. #### em !

only2garners
The police were particularly concerned about the game at Ewood when I went to a prep meeting for the Turf Moor game. With no bubble the opportunity for confrontation between fans is much greater at Ewood and would be exacerbated should 7,000 Burnley fans be allowed. The only way Burnley fans are going to be in home areas is if Rovers fans on the database buy them for them or if they got themselves on the database a month ago. The Police concerns have non doubt been made worse now that the game is on a midweek night rather than a Sunday lunchtime. smiller14
I'd have given them 10%, same as what we got, no arguments. Means they get more fans yes, but nothing daft like 7,000 of them. Shouldn't be punished for having a bigger stadium and therefore being forced to give a huge away following, especially in such a big game. A few extra quid doesn't make sense. Can see why it's limited - no idea if police involved. Just hope it doesn't lead to a Rangers/Celtic style tit-for-tat over allocation with each constantly getting lower allocations each game. I'm glad we haven't rolled out the red carpet, that's for sure.
