Displaced Rover Posted September 26, 2023 Posted September 26, 2023 Strange for the BBC to put out what in essence reads as a personal advert for him... 3 Quote

JohnD Posted September 30, 2023 Posted September 30, 2023 I haven't watched Newcastle for a couple of years so I'll tune in today and hope they're at their best! Quote
philipl Posted October 1, 2023 Posted October 1, 2023 Just watched all the PL games yesterday either as 3 games live including Everton v Luton or extended highlights. I have seen nothing that would give a Burnley supporter any reason to think they have much realistic chance of staying up this season beyond the other £100m+ transfer boys Bournemouth imploding and Everton's abysmal home form. Had the dingles accepted switching the Luton game to Turf Moor at the start of the season they could have reasonably expected to have won it. As it is they can reasonably expect to lose at Kenilworth Road- talk about looking a gift horse in the mouth. There are just too many mistakes in the dingles and Sheffield United and Luton are now at least as likely to get their games together as Burnley are. Quote

One reason given by Burnley for not switching game was looking after plans already made by dingle fans. Sounds right but suspect more like it gave dingle management a day off. Only saw MOTD highlights v Newcastle and dingle fans knew who Kieran Trippier was. Now dingle defenders also know who he is. Quote
47er Posted October 1, 2023 Posted October 1, 2023 i'm not sre Burnley care too much. They got decent money for a few of their better players, invested well in young players and are probably confident that they can come straight back up again with more parachute money once again. Quite jealous of them really! Quote
JohnD Posted October 3, 2023 Posted October 3, 2023 Another incompetent referee / VAR team denied a clear penalty for Luton Quote

Mattyblue Posted October 8, 2023 Posted October 8, 2023 Yeah but they’ve got some American sport ‘stars’ nobody’s ever heard of parading about in Dingle shirts (pre them taking their slice of the PL profit out) so who cares about results. 2 Quote
Upside Down Posted October 8, 2023 Posted October 8, 2023 I think it is our duty as Rovers fans to never let them forget 1987. Hopefully they finish the season with the fewest poits in history. Quote

Can they continue their luck with managers? Kompany getting some stick here. Edited October 8, 2023 by booth Quote
