Proudtobeblue&white Posted April 15, 2022 Posted April 15, 2022 Very strange decision, unless they have a massive replacement! Quote

Armchair supporter supremo Posted April 15, 2022 Posted April 15, 2022 (edited) Admittedly i don't follow burnley (or the prem) that closely but it does seem a ridiculous time to sack him whilst theyve still got a vhance of surving the drop, unless he's lost the dressing room (which doesn't seem likely) or been eyeing up a move to a bigger club himself. They've been punching above their weight for years, selling their best players and replacing them with cheaper inferior ones (remind you of anyone) so it was going to catch up to them at some point! Any new manager will have the same struggles there and will never get the same respect that the fans have for Dyche. Edited April 15, 2022 by Armchair supporter supremo 3 Quote
Backroom Tom Posted April 15, 2022 Backroom Posted April 15, 2022 Get his agent on the phone instantly Allardyce May save them but Dyche was a get out of championship free card they’ve just thrown away 2 Quote
SuperBrfc Posted April 15, 2022 Posted April 15, 2022 The "long live Venky's" brigade are about to get a taste of what it feels like. They won't be laughing anymore, that's for sure. A panic move from their owners and one which spells trouble. 8 Quote
jim mk2 Posted April 15, 2022 Posted April 15, 2022 Mowbray out, Dyche in What an Easter gift that would be 3 Quote
1864roverite Posted April 15, 2022 Posted April 15, 2022 Tbh I would take S Dyche in a heartbeat over Mowbray 3 Quote

I despised the man, but replacing him with that ****** Kean was diabolical. Foreign owners eh? Don’t you just love em…. Edited April 15, 2022 by Gav 4 Quote
Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted April 15, 2022 Moderation Lead Posted April 15, 2022 Insanity from their board. As we know, sacking a manager is the easy part, the right replacement is the tough bit. It might end up being a master stroke, but I also think he was the reason things were going so well for them…. 1 Quote
Angry_Pirate Posted April 15, 2022 Posted April 15, 2022 We can enjoy this, at least until 2pm rolls around and we see our "Managers" starting XI. And then come 5pm when we're non-victorious against L1 Peterborough, we can return to hating our own club! 5 Quote

(and even less chance he'd even consider it anyway) Allardyce is history, I always saw Dyche as a more modern Allardyce mkII. Edited April 15, 2022 by Armchair supporter supremo Quote

JC4LAB Posted April 15, 2022 Posted April 15, 2022 Will we see the return of Big Sam? When we struggled some seasons to stay up at this stage,a hero emerged the save us at the last minute..Remember John Stead. and even Pederson before..that..This new Striker from Germany to replace Wood hastn done it but could Like Dyche..good guy ... Claytons Left Boot Posted April 15, 2022 Posted April 15, 2022 I would have Dyche here over Mowbray all day long. Dyche, however, is savvy enough to know that working with Venky’s would be a no, no and it would never happen. Not only do we have a desperately poor manager, we have by far the worst owners in football. And then some. 2 Quote
Mattyblue Posted April 15, 2022 Posted April 15, 2022 He was on enormous wages and had years left on his contact, so will have received a mega pay off, so can wait it out until something enticing comes around. 1 Quote
SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted April 15, 2022 Posted April 15, 2022 I would have backed Dyche Vader to take them back up...insanity!🤣 1 Quote
Colt Seavers Posted April 15, 2022 Posted April 15, 2022 I think Allardyce will come in, which tells us this is a last gasp, smash and grab. There is no plan for next year. Just a naked, desperate last throw of the dice. None of the named candidates including big Sam are better placed to keep them up than Dyche in my opinion. He and his staff won't have been cheap to sack either. This is officially where history will show when the rot set in folks. Good Friday 2022 3 Quote
Armchair supporter supremo Posted April 15, 2022 Posted April 15, 2022 (edited) They'd have destroyed the championship (and us!!) next season if Dyche was still there. At least now we have a chance of possibly turning the tables back on them if their owners continue to make farcical decisions. Edited April 15, 2022 by Armchair supporter supremo 5 Quote
matt83 Posted April 15, 2022 Posted April 15, 2022 No reason anyone should know this but where does dyche live? Can’t see him thinking Burnley is the place to be. But did he settle somewhere locally or commute like moggadon. Quote
den Posted April 15, 2022 Posted April 15, 2022 The most ludicrous decision since Venkys sacked Allardyce. 4 Quote
