I’d be surprised if they set the league alight.

They used all of Burnley's cash reserves to pay off the directors and were still £60m short, hence the high interest loan.

Those parachute payments will be used to service the debts. Tarkowski and Pope will be off - both have run down their contracts, so they won't get a good price.

This is the stuff of nightmares for Burnley and I'm here for it.

There is some real dread over there about the future. The rumoured £50+ million payment will be brought forward from 2025 according to reports. That effectively wipes out the parachute money and they have to find millions for interest payments before a ball is kicked. Any player of quality will be off. After they scoffed and laughed at us with our horrible owners it's payback time.

They need massive decisions over the finances of the club and next managerial appointment plus the playing squad decisions.
