Vinjay Posted January 23, 2022 Posted January 23, 2022 Wouldn't be a good idea for Ewood officials to use marketing tags like "Blackburn Red Devils" or "Red Devil Rovers". Old Scumford's lawyers would be calling in a heartbeat. Look at their issues with Football Manager and to a lesser known extent Panini Cheapskates. Quote

Popular Post windymiller7 Posted January 26, 2022 Popular Post Posted January 26, 2022 (edited) On the subject of the sponsor, did people notice that, on Monday, Rover the Dog only had a navy Rovers T-shirt on rather than the home shirt? My daughter knows the guy & he refused to wear the shirt with the new sponsor on it due to his main involvement being with the kids, getting his pic took & high fiving etc etc & asked for a sponsorless one. Apparently they've all got Recoverite on & have to have the block sponsor to cover it, removing the old one leaves a sticky glue residue, so they couldn't give him one. Hence the plain t-shirt. Fair play to him I say! Edited January 26, 2022 by windymiller7 10 Quote
Ianrally Posted January 26, 2022 Posted January 26, 2022 As a matter of interest how many local companies were contacted regarding shirt sponsorship and how much is it worth to Rovers. Does anybody on here know? Quote
Cuppliance Posted January 30, 2022 Posted January 30, 2022 From what I’ve gathered since speaking to people I know about the new shirt sponsor, the ones that are complaining about us promoting vaping have never expressed a problem with vaping before (and having the sponsor on the training gear or stadium). When I’ve called them out on falling victim to their own cognitive dissonance, when in reality they think the sponsor looks hideous and the sponsor name sound ridiculous, they have been stumped. In short they don’t like the look or the name and they don’t see it as a good enough reason to be outraged so they decide to be offended about vaping companies when they couldn’t care less. Quote

Expand I find it as good enough reason It is the brand name. It’s cheap and it’s a Red Devil. Doesn’t suit us and it comes across as a cheap brand because of the products it sells. A perfect combination of crap. 4 Quote
Commondore Posted January 30, 2022 Posted January 30, 2022 It's a terrible looking logo with a stupid name. I prefer it to gambling sites though, and the local connection just about saves it. 1 Quote
martonrover Posted January 31, 2022 Posted January 31, 2022 How many other professional sports clubs are sponsored by a company that produces a nicotine based product? It's 2022. Some folk in power at Ewood should be in the next series of Life On Mars. 1 Quote
Dan Posted January 31, 2022 Posted January 31, 2022 Vaping saves lives. Fact. There’s a lot of propaganda online, which comes mainly from America whose government are shitting themselves over lost taxes and revenue from tobacco. There’s also a lot of confusion between vaping nicotine and black market THC vaping ‘oils’. https://grimmgreen.com/advocate/ 1 Quote
