RTM08 Posted January 29, 2022 Posted January 29, 2022 I know we've got a lot of injuries but we're doing that thing Tony does occasionally where he puts as many defensive players on the pitch as he can and then wonders why we can't do anything other than sit back and defend. Quote
booth Posted January 29, 2022 Posted January 29, 2022 Blimey, Nyambe great opportunity then. Beaten by... Bell! Quote
OldEwoodBlue Posted January 29, 2022 Posted January 29, 2022 Gally has reverted to being useless 4 Quote
G Somerset Rover Posted January 29, 2022 Posted January 29, 2022 Someone has to get at Bell, as we know, he’s sh*te. Chapman maybe?! Today would be a fantastic day for a tight 1-0 win. Quote
booth Posted January 29, 2022 Posted January 29, 2022 Why is Gallagher's reaction to receiving the ball to pass it straight away, and then lose it? When there's no one near him why doesn't he trap it then decide what to do with it. 1 Quote
moerpho Posted January 29, 2022 Posted January 29, 2022 Hoping this is Rovers bad half…come out firing in the 2nd half. But right now I`d take 0-0. 2 Quote
Miker Posted January 29, 2022 Posted January 29, 2022 Luton are playing very aggressively and we're struggling to cope, but Luton look vulnerable themselves. Need someone more creative than Johnson in midfield. Buckley also struggling to influence the game. Quote
bluebruce Posted January 29, 2022 Posted January 29, 2022 This tight pitch and the lack of Khadra's pace is a problem for our style. 1 Quote
joey_big_nose Posted January 29, 2022 Posted January 29, 2022 Does feel like Rothwell is a big miss here in on the break. Same with Khadra. I'd drop Buckley into midfield and put Gallagher and Zeefuik as a two up front. Maybe bring Chapman on for Zeefuik. Options really stretched. Khadra, Brereton, Markanday, Rothwell, Dack all out is such a killer. 1 Quote

booth Posted January 29, 2022 Posted January 29, 2022 What a poor half - one shot off target? I know we're missing key players but we can't string a pass together. Quote

J*B Posted January 29, 2022 Posted January 29, 2022 Lansbury doing a job on Buckley and we’re not doing enough going forwards. Subs needed. I’d go… Kaminski lenihan JVH Wharton Zeefuik Buckley Travis JRC Chapman Gallagher Butterworth So Chapman for Nyambe and Butterworth for Johnson. Quote
Mr. E Posted January 29, 2022 Posted January 29, 2022 Luton pressing hard for every square inch of space. Have really shut us down. Very lucky to still be 0-0 here. Not sure what we can change at half time, but will be difficult to leave with points today. 1 Quote

JohnD Posted January 29, 2022 Posted January 29, 2022 Gallagher poor to put it politely and Luton all over us when they lose the ball. A cool head needed somewhere. Can't see this being a clean sheet. Quote
Backroom DE. Posted January 29, 2022 Backroom Posted January 29, 2022 Pleased to get in at 0-0. We look completely toothless going forward, which is to be expected given the injuries, "injuries" and absences, but at the same time... they've got Amari'i Bell at left back. Come on. Hopefully we can nick a scrappy goal off a set piece and hold on for a 1-0. Quote
roversfan99 Posted January 29, 2022 Posted January 29, 2022 Really poor performance so far with a very depleted squad. The experiment to play Zeefuik so far forward is not working and even the regulars like Gallagher and Buckley have been very poor. Quote
simongarnerisgod Posted January 29, 2022 Posted January 29, 2022 can`t complain, not conceded on a windy, tight ground against opponents who scrap for everything, the longer it goes on the more chance we have of nicking a goal, luton`s atrional style is hard to maintain for 90 minutes Quote

ben_the_beast Posted January 29, 2022 Posted January 29, 2022 I'd take a 0-0 at this rate. Completely bullied us first half. Hoping the switch will see some of these long balls going straight off for a goal kick. Seems to be holding up in the wind right and causing a lot of trouble for our defence. Can't see where a goal is coming from for us but if we stay tight you never know Quote
