Surely we've come out of today weaker? Three attacking players out - McBride, Chapman, Butterworth out.  Two of whom were on the bench last weekend.  Possibly one wing back in - plus Hedges.

We have a massive injury crisis at the top end of the pitch and we let squad players go..

Yes. The only conclusion to draw from this is that those outgoings were necessary rather than optional.

As I say for Butterworth and us I think a loan is a good move, and for me Chapman was finished here last year (still strange he was given another year to spend it all on loan) yet both were on the bench in our most recent game and now they can't be over the rest of the season. Seems quite a gamble.

On the whole ins,

Markanday, nice signing, injury a bummer but nice to have him through door.

Zeefuik - Solid first team player, offers options and genuine cover/competition at right back

Giles - 9 assist already this season, with Pickering and Edun injuries, great bit of business

Hedges - Cheap, cheerful, low risk low cost.

Brown - Development squad

Outs

Clarkson - couldn't get in team

Butterworth - just not happened for him

Carter - will come back better player.

Chapman - shouldn't of got new deal, wasted valuable funds in doing so

Mcbride - not near first team

Key players have stayed

We are slightly stronger if everyone was fit.

My Concern, Bournemouth have probably catapulted themselves into certainties for 2nd place. They've signed some real quality, Cantwell in particular is an oustanding player.

Other clubs in and around us, also signed some decent players.

That gap to 7th is a massive plus, and we may just need it, given injuries and expected suspensions.

Bournemouth have shit themselves IMO, don't forget you can only play eleven!

If I was to have a punt on Rovers or Bournemouth for second, with 'our togetherness' and players returning from injury, I'd back us all day long over and above a bunch of maverick mercenaries managed by Scott Parker.

I actually think the more players Bournemouth sign the better. It shows Parker isn't happy with his side or is under immense pressure.

Going to be some ask incorporating them all quickly into a new team under a new manager and there will be a lot of egos around. A lot of those already there might not be happy with replacements being brought in.

Can only pick 11 to play and has to keep them all happy.

Thought I’d have a scan of what our rivals have been up to today and it quite literally is, just all about Bournemouth. The only other club to have been relatively active are Forest who have brought in Sam Surridge and England U21 defender Panzo.

Good to know that QPR, WBA, Boro and even Fulham fans will be feeling a little dissapointed too tonight.

Will agree to disagree, they are 3rd, have a game in hand. Hardly having a poor season.

They can see the premierleague, and have opted to add more quality to an already good squad.

They have the valuable cover we do not.

For example, they get season ending injury to Solanke, they now have moore, dembele.

We get season ending injury to Brereton, we have Ayala, and a growing injury list

Btw, 99% sure Levi Laing from West Ham is the other young lad on trial here. CB/RB, 18 year old. 6ft 2". (Jack Bearne & George Nunn the other two).

Not sure where all this pressure talk is coming from, they are in 3rd and 2nd if they win their game in hand.

Its not their first season back in the championship  i understand the frustration because they bid for Rothwell, but to write them off is ludicrous

Sooner or later, some of our key players are going to get injured or suspended and we just don't have the back-up to replace them

Those criticising Parker are missing the point; Bournemouth have so many good players they will go up regardless

I think most people would snap your hand off to have that bet with you but I sincerely hope your optimism is justified!
