Virtually stopped now in Wheelton, so I'd expect the same at Ewood anytime soon. In Clayton Le Moors right now, the snow is much thinner now. The Rovers staff will make sure the surrounding areas around the ground are fine. Tyrone Shoelaces Posted February 19, 2022 Posted February 19, 2022 Still coming down here but the flakes are smaller. I don’t recall seeing any gritters last night. Quote
BigBar Posted February 19, 2022 Posted February 19, 2022 Lovely here in Ireland, sunny but chilly...snowed and sleeted earlier so I assume it's just blowing across...the game be fine lads 😁 1 Quote
Hasta Posted February 19, 2022 Posted February 19, 2022 If its off for snow it generally safety on the roads and the surrounding areas. Never because of the immediate area around the ground and the pitch. If traffic is moving its not an issue but if cars aren't getting up Cravens / Livesey easily its going to be seen as a problem. 3 Quote
Tyrone Shoelaces Posted February 19, 2022 Posted February 19, 2022 (edited) Back to big lumps falling again here 18 miles away. I was right about the gritters, the road outside my house isn’t clearing. That’s unusual because we’re on the route to the infirmary 200 yards away. Edited February 19, 2022 by Tyrone Shoelaces Quote
garnersfags Posted February 19, 2022 Posted February 19, 2022 Heys Lane is gridlocked, and Livesey Branch Rd is blocked. Only one outcome, I'm afraid..... Quote
Backroom Madon Posted February 19, 2022 Backroom Posted February 19, 2022 I've seen a couple of pictures of the pitch and it's covered. No idea how to share on here! (Which is bad from a mod, apologies 🤣) Quote

toogs Posted February 19, 2022 Posted February 19, 2022 Undersoil not switched on I would guess? Quote
Tyrone Shoelaces Posted February 19, 2022 Posted February 19, 2022 (edited) Just clear the touch lines etc. As long as it doesn’t get any worse it should be playable. Edited February 19, 2022 by Tyrone Shoelaces 1 Quote

RV Blue Posted February 19, 2022 Posted February 19, 2022 What valuable information do you gain from a pitch inspection 3 hours before kick off? 1 Quote

windymiller7 Posted February 19, 2022 Posted February 19, 2022 I'm in Clayton-le-Woods & it's stopped here now, just a bit of light rain. Quote
Boroblue Posted February 19, 2022 Posted February 19, 2022 I hope not it’s took me 90 mins to Bolton station from Adlington and I’m on the train to blackburn. If the pitch is not frozen sweep it for gods sake. It’s not as though it’s turned into the artic circle 1 Quote

I’m solely talking about the pitch inspection. I doubt the ref will be walking up livsey checking if it’s drivable 2 Quote

EgyptianPete Posted February 19, 2022 Posted February 19, 2022 Still doing a little snow here in Darwen live near Craven Heifer roads not too good. Quote
garnersfags Posted February 19, 2022 Posted February 19, 2022 It's a tricky one, as what was impassable on Livesey BR an hour ago is now melted slush, but will that be obvious at pitch level? I assume the fact that it's not snowing at Ewood must help???? I think it will be off as they can't guarantee that it will be playable in 3 hours. Sensible thing would be to re-inspect at 1pm..... Might not be that bad if it's postponed with Diaz out injured. Quote
