Rovers now saying a 2.15 pitch inspection to see if the game goes ahead. I would imagine that nearly everyone who is going will be in transit by then.

Dear God. After the Hull debacle, we’ll have a lot to answer for here if it’s cancelled this late. You simply cannot say at 1230 that it’s going ahead and then do another inspection at 2.15.

To be fair the pitch is the referees domain when it comes to postponements but I can't understand why it's such a late decision unless the referee isn't happy about the amount of snow still on the pitch.

@only2garners can this be highlighted at the fans forum, the club could take it out of the referees hands surely and think about the fans. You cant have a decision 45 minutes before kick off.

The point is they told everyone the game was definitely on an hour ago. Plenty will have travelled on that basis. If there was always an element of doubt remaining they should have said. Terrible comms from Rovers.

Is there a chance that the ref has made the call to have another inspection at short notice and not Rovers.

Just seen a video on twitter of around 30-40 Bolton staff and stewards clearing the snow off the pitch. It is pretty much clear now. Proper hands to the pump effort with everyone mucking in.
