JHC, the pitch is pristine!

The chances of the game being called off because of the pitch are ZERO!

Doh

It’s unacceptable. Club with undersoil heating, put a bloody cover over the pitch in preparation of the storm. Nah we’ll just have 4 people and a few shovels put in 20 minutes

Just seen a video on twitter of around 30-40 Bolton staff and stewards clearing the snow off the pitch. It is pretty much clear now. Proper hands to the pump effort with everyone mucking in.

Rovers on the other hand……..

Quite disgusting it's been called off with 45-minutes to go!

Nothing to do with Rovers - that's the ref's call.

Yeah his call.  But what can you expect from Championship referees.

Absolutely shocking. Whoever is involved in this situation needs to face some consequences. Completely unacceptable to wait until now to call the game off.

The ref passed the pitch at 12.30 , therefore he felt it would be playable. It’s obviously the standing snow that’s causing the problem.Rovers must have told the ref they could clear the snow in time, which they obviously haven’t been able to do.  They must be a fair way off their wise you could surely just delay it a bit.

Bolton were in a similar position and they’ve got it on.

Then delay to 15:15 kick off? Or 15:30?

I agree. I think the amount of snow just over the touch line must be the problem.

The pitch is clear of snow, Millwall fans in the ground, it must be frozen.

If it wasn’t frozen at 12.30 it won’t be frozen now. Pub club.

Shambles. Probably forgotten to turn on the under soil heating knowing them. No way the pitch should be frozen otherwise. Even looking at a smattering of snow on the pitch do they not own covers. It’s not as if there was a possibility of a storm mentioned once or twice in the news.

Would the ref definitely have been there at 12pm for the first inspection?

Yes. There is a picture of him with Waggott  and Sylvester pitch side although I can't be sure of the exact time.

i feel sorry for the millwall fans but imo, with our injuries and current form it`s a good result for us

Not when we’re going to lose our next two games away to Sheffield United and Fulham. Was in desperate need of a win today.

I suspect the undersoil heating hasn’t been working.

possible, more likely the ref is complete drip, obsessed with elf and safety and can`t think for himself,he gets the final say so it`s his decision, like i said,it`s a right result for us,we are not exactly ripping it up at the moment
