Transfer Window - COMPLETE. Where’s Gregg?

Recommended Posts

I know it’s had for rovers fans but is it time to feel a little optimistic? 2 permanent signings and both make sense. Plus we are being linked with other potential players which also make sense. Previously the window would have ended and we would have heard how we tried etc. but gb seems to be able to get things over the line. A left back and center half and who the hell knows where this ends. But we seem to be moving forward. 12 years of pain and maybe a little light…….

You do have to take these selective videos with spadeful of salt

Zeefuilk (sp?) looked brilliant on YouTube but turned out to be a huge disappointment

Let's see how this lad goes.

It's not negative to want to wait and see how he does for us...🤷‍♂️

I'd say this guy is totally honest whereas Shebby couldn't lie straight in bed....

Totally opposites in my opinion, but I respect your opinion

I didn't see Shebby as a liar just not very competent! Heart in right place though. Said he was determined to get rid of the crooks.

to be fair to Zeefuik, he was either played out of position or injured for the majority of his time here, so it isn't hugely surprising he didn't particularly set the world alight during his spell. it's a shame, it seemed like he had the potential to be a top player for us before his arrival.

Rovers seems to a plan and signings players that fit how JDT wants to play and formation. It's seems that Tyler Morton will challenge John Buckley and Lewis Travis with Adam Wharton and Jake Garrett backing those 3 up. Basically filling the role Bradley Johnson and Jacob Davenport did last season.

Sammie Szmodics seems to fit the pressing game and the front four interchange positions JDT wants to play here. Don't know much about it seems to score goals and create them. So looking forward to see him play.

Give me a number 10 as effective as Dack any day of the week, for all of your "metrics" about athleticism.

Hope Szmodics can step up to the Championship at the third time of asking, hopefully he can also fit into the same side as Dack and they can get the best out of each other. We need players that can run in behind off the ball and it seems like he wants to do that.

The 2 questions are, can Dack how JDT wants to play the front four and play the pressing game? Also does he have fitness to play it? If he doesn't then I don't see JDT playing him or changing his tactics for one player whoever that player is

Dack was too slow and lazy before his injuries for this system.

He was easily our best player. If he is anything like the old one (the million dollar question) then he still is.

He wasnt lazy and he was quick enough to keep up and regularly contribute.

Zeefuik is a great player, shame his injuries stopped things working out.

Im guessing you watched Hertha Berlin regularly as no one could surely conclude that from his time here, albeit brief. "Great player?!"

Can he score and assist regularly? If hes not been badly affected by injuries then yes he can so it is in Tomasson's best interests to play in a way that suits his best player.

Dack if fit WILL immediately be the best player in the championship he's absolutely fantastic.

Let's not forget that.

His debut championship season he outdid both Mason Mount and Jack Grealish.

Let's stop with the "we don't need Dack".

totally agree this witch hunt against dack is insane people quickly forget how good he was when he was fully fit

It's about the Blackburn Rovers not Dack firstly and if Dack can't play the way JDT wants his team to play then he got 2 options, first option is learn and adapt to how JDT wants the team to play or second option he can leave Rovers.

From the video, Szmodics is very pacy, quick, very Bellamy-ish, can finish as well. Could have gotta a few more assists if their strikers can put them away. Our striker is Gally, so we will see.

                                       Gally (Vale)
Diaz (Markanday)      Szmodics (Dack)       Hedges (Dolan)
                   Bucko (Morton)   Travis (Edun/A.Warton)
