The club is not failing JDT currently, but the championship transfer market is slow currently if you look at the whole transfer market. We have budget and we can't just over pay for players. 12 days to go and we need around 4 signings. Van Der Berg deal is waiting for Liverpool defensive crisis to get better before they release him. If you want quality signings sometimes patience is needed and I rather we waiting then just sign players who we don't want really or rushing signings for the sake of it

Look at our bench today. We have Ayala and a 17 year old playing with no defenders on the bench, wake up and smell the fekking coffee

I am fully aware of team today and the bench thanks. But we don't rush signings

We've had 3 months, this is criminal

we only appointed JDT and GB about 2 months ago.

time to judge and comment is after the transfer window ends IMO

When you have an injury plagued 31 year old and a 17 year old kid as your only choices at CB, plus no cover for your full backs and being 5 games into a season is criminally negligent. If this doesn't change dramatically we are in for a really tough season.

Exactly, but 98% of Rovers' fans judged them after 1, 2, 3, and 4 games, and anyone saying it was too early to judge, was shot down.

The main problem for me resulting from our death spiral,  is that Diaz may well decide that we are not worth staying with as he looks towards the Prem.

This will not help to keep him.....

Pickering is easily the worst left back we have ever had, and I mean it. Drop him for gods sake.

Unless you said this for the whole of last season, I think this is OTT.

Don't get me wrong, I don't rate him....

I did say at the end of last season, he is diabolical. Slow as a week in jail and makes mistake after mistake. Set piece specialist apparently, should be nowhere near our club!

The OTT reaction on here is insane. We are 5 games in, one of only 3 teams to have won 3 games and currently sit in 4th.

Reading the board I can already see the tide turning against GB and JDT. We need some new players, we will get new players.

Patience is severely lacking on this message board.

Have you seen the past 2 games? It's not the results, it's the performances. We can't defend, we have no presence in midfield, and we have no attacking threat. Add to the mix that the majority of our players can't pass the ball. All the ingredients are there for a team that will struggle badly this season. Don't let the opening 3 games fool you, we were generally poor in those games too imo.

Yes, new players will come in but will they be of the quantity and quality we need? Given that we need 5/6 good players and there is not long to go until the window shuts, I think it's unlikely we'll do enough in the market before it closes. The mood on the message board is entirely justified.

The sad thing is he's a damn sight better than Edun at LB.

You cant play the way you want if you don't have the players for it.... thats why I think we dont have an identity yet but hopefully we got the players in needed and I expect 4 to 5 in before deadline otherwise we will struggle...

5 players in 2 weeks…Not a chance…

Going to be a difficult season.

I have faith in JDT but at the same time feel very sorry for him…

Stoke @ home next…think we will be back to winning ways…Sounds bad but anything other than a loss at the moment is a good result.

He sounds annoyed according to local journo about lack of signings

Plus 2 cb with one of them being a permanent or have experience

Yeap…Styles what we are screaming for. Creativity in midfield or as a LWB. I’m shocked that we or anyone else hasn’t gone in for him. Why we went for Szmodics instead I do not know.

I have to say I wasn't expecting much from Sheffield but we were comprehensively outplayed, outfought, outmuscled and outscored by a team that will be playing Premier League football next season.

Having said that, we needed better than that from the players on the pitch several of whom are not good enough for this level of football. Only Kaminski and Ayala stood between us and a cricket score. The misfield was non exsitent in the first half with Buckley and Travis unable to compete.

Wharton is being missed big time but then how long have we had to sign another CB that we knew was needed. Taking nothing away from Philips who will be a good player at a higher level.

What a difference a week makes?

Only thing I'm willing to give JDT stick for at this moment is for playing gally on the wing.

We need reinforcements at the back desperately everybody can see it. We came into the season with 3 senior centre half's, 2 are currently out injured. A lad whose just turned 17 and Pickering are far from ideal and it is clearing impacting the way the team is performing.

We've basically got holes in the first 11 (including left back, sorry Pickering isn't up to it) and We've got no depth either.

Bradford away on Tuesday leaves us in a predicament as Phillips looks knackered and we shouldn't be risking Ayala so God knows what we'll do.

Things need to get moving asap

Thing is, that wasn't the case 3 weeks ago was it? We've suffered injuries since then to Carter, Wharton & Barnes; few clubs could withstand that.

Yes we need players in & sooner the better as JDT has just explicitly pointed out, but to say that where we are is criminally negligent on GB's part with 2 weeks to.go until the transfer window closes is clearly an OTT reaction.

Hopefully we can bring in 2 signings in the coming days. One being a centre back for sure

1000% agreed there
