He's top of the 'least times skinned one on one' graphic.

You know. The one you want your full back to  be included in.

Why? On past performance isn’t it the truth?

The club purposely plants rumours to satisfy fans?

Give me a break. We both know (and I will use one of JHRs less tin foiled quotes) “actions speak louder than words” so links to million + players in papers means nothing to anybody.

What are the chances that somebody, who desperately wants us to sign Brittain, has gone into an office and told a car salesman that "the fans (me most of all) would be really happy if we signed Callum Brittain".

A lightbulb goes off in said salesman's head as he realises this will buy him some time and possibly calm some of the fans down.

Leak to a journo. Rovers are after Brittain. Job's a good 'un.

All though I think he will be key for us this season…if it was a large chunk and enough to keep Brereton to sign a new deal then I’d be inclined to sell…also would leave us with money aside for a proven scorer.

But it does mean a lot to so many. In the space of a couple of hours it has filled a few pages on here and my twitter feed is full this morning of what a good move it would be. So job done in that respect. No more anger about the Nyambe situation and lots of people feel better about the direction things are going if we are 'trying' to sign this lad.

I don't think it is some elaborate conspiracy. Just that those running things at Rovers are quite happy for fans to believe things are happening and will do nothing to dispel the rumours, it suits them to the ground for people to believe they have money and ambition even when the evidence suggests they don't.

Just like Assombalonga and Kipre did in windows past and the lad from Malmo did earlier this summer. None actually arrived and probably never were going to given the finances involves as they would have all been completely at odds with the business conducted by the Club over the last 3-4 years. But they served a purpose in convincing people stuff was happening and good signings were coming. Then they didn't and we turned to the loan market instead.

Yes. This lot are clever; they're Machiavellian, they manipulate the fanbase; they tell lies (witness Brockhall), and they're only interested in their own survival.

Planting rumours about signings that probably won't happen is easily believable

Back to the Thomas Evans days, where he made a list of players based on fifa ratings, contract expiry, gave it Vineeth Rao and he went chasing them.

I remember Singh once ringing me to say Huddersfield had knocked back our bids for Rhodes, is there anyone else lol?

I said tongue in cheek, errr marian chamakch however you spell it.

I choked on my toast the morning after as the back page of the Telegraph said in big letters. ROVERS LAUNCH BID FOR ARSENALS CHAMAKCH.

Its no more functional now, than it was then, and its not even funny

Best get back in touch and offer some advice for some decent players Glen 😉

Hope all is good.

I would never describe anyone at Ewood Park as Machiavellian.

You're giving them far too much credit.
