It's a crying shame that JDT isn't going to get the backing that Mowbray got for 3 years. Just imagine what he could do with the depth and options Mowbray was able to bring in.

JDT served up a bigger pile of rubbish last night than Mowbray ever served up, I think we should hold off from calling him the second coming just yet.

We have spent over 2m on an attacking midfielder and 1m on a right back which is far more than last summer and the summer before too.

Nowhere enough though so far.

There was far worse under Mowbray, excluding the obvious there was the 3-1 home loss in league 1 to Doncaster.

Really don't know where people are coming from when they say 'worst performance in X no of years'.. If I had a pound for evert time I have heard that I would be a millionaire..

They have all had crap performances, even the best teams do, sometimes it happens!

As it stands we have had the best start in years, optimism is high and their is a freshness about our new manager.. the squad is significantly weaker than last year.. and last year we were a team that absolutely crumbled for 3 to 4 months.

Mowbrays death spirals were not mythical they were fact!

Let's back this young enthusiastic manager, it will take time, but he needs the backing of everyone at the club.. the worlds finest managers were exactly queuing up for us!

We lost 7-0 at home to Fulham last season.

Yep, at least people were in their correct positions. Was a rarity under TM to have 11 on the pitch all in appropriate positions.

So with the one blocker out the way, we’ve plenty to get excited about over the next two weeks…

Precisely. There'll be so many people signing in the next two week that Ewood will resemble a 1980's dole office.

Keep the faith👊

Very short memory. Fulham at home?

Fulham were one of the best sides I’ve seen in the Championship and we had 10 men for most of the game. Reading are not. Last night was worse.

Reading away this time was worse than Reading away last season, that’s not even a debate.

You as a stapler?

Vale might be decent in the future, but judging him on his two league starts, he has absolutely no business being in that squad.

as a young lad you would like to think he`d want to impress the manager by running around and putting some effort in,there was more movement in nelsons column,id`e be giving sam burns his place tbh

One defeat and by the sounds of the boards sounds like we are in a relegation battle, i need to prescribe some Valium and viagra 🤣😂.

JDT has been backed financially and the window isn’t over. Not ideal would love to have more signings in but they surely blocked for a reasons either fee out of budget or wages these things take time. One defeat isn’t the end of the world. We are first 9 points from 12 we weren’t going to be undefeated all season

Maybe the players that JDT wants are not just quite available due to any number of reasons and why would you think he isn't being backed if stories are true about offering a good few bob for players already mentioned within this thread?

Not a debate, nor relevant.

Swansea away this time was a lot better than Swansea away last season. That's not relevant either though. Same goes for West Brom at home.

With the team we have. Did anyone expect us to be top of the league after four games? Its an excellent start even though we lost.... but loosing can open the way for some signings and JDT calling more for players coming in.

You already know the answer to that really. If he's a first team player at Rovers who is first choice pick for his position, Chaddy rates him. Equally, if he's a first team player at Rovers who is first (or second or third) choice pick for his position, Sparks doesn't rate him. Them's the rules.

Pretty spot on assessment. You just need to add that if you’re a first team player at PNE Sparks definitely rates you.

Reading got some descent players.... Hendrick, Long, Ince and Joao along with their backline. They did beat Cardiff at home this season to....don draw to conclusions early..

Because offering money isn't backing.

Come September we will know which way it has gone but it won't count as backing if we've signed a few loans and 'tried' to sign some others and were knocked back.

No prizes or credit for trying, failing, talking, offering, struggling etc. Just doing.
