TheRovers1994 Posted August 28, 2022 Posted August 28, 2022 With Hyam signed and one other cb on route it looks as though jdt wants a back 3, Ayala, hyam, Wharton, Carter, Phillips and a new CB ( hopefully JPVH is solid and not only provides cover but also room for loans out would prefer a 532 as we don’t have any quality wide forwards/ wingers but I can see it being 523 which me personally I don’t like leaves you vulnerable in the middle andeans dack and sznodics are out of position 1 Quote

benhben Posted August 28, 2022 Posted August 28, 2022 Never heard of Hyam until recently so no idea if he's any good. But good to get a match fit seasoned pro CB in rather than kids. We've been desperate for one for weeks. See what this week brings. 1 Quote
Sweaty Gussets Posted August 28, 2022 Posted August 28, 2022 I hope this guy doesn't get to choose the pre-match music in the dressing room. It'll be more Leonard Cohen than Happy House! 4 Quote
Mercer Posted August 28, 2022 Posted August 28, 2022 Hope @chaddyroversis okay - thought he'd be all over the MB following announcement of Hyam signing. 1 Quote

davulsukur Posted August 28, 2022 Posted August 28, 2022 Hyam seems like a decent signing. And actually paying money for a CB is unheard of at this club. Must be switching to a back 5. Ayala, Wharton and Hyam should be an unreal CB trio. Shame about the LB though! 5 Quote

tomphil Posted August 28, 2022 Posted August 28, 2022 Impressive signing this one For the first time in what seems like forever we are actually directly replacing good players who have left with good, poss better, players. Seems a DoF does make some difference. 3 Quote

benhben Posted August 28, 2022 Posted August 28, 2022 After the last 3 games I actually think a high energy, powerful CM should be our priority for the last position rather than the Liverpool CB on loan. We're weak as piss in there. Hopefully we'll have a secure league position at the next window when JDT has seen the squad a bit longer. 6 Quote
Popular Post SoldierMo Posted August 28, 2022 Popular Post Posted August 28, 2022 Always build from the back if this window leaves us solid then we can improve in the coming windows 11 Quote
JacknOry Posted August 28, 2022 Posted August 28, 2022 Come on guys lol. Yeah, he doesn't look like much of a smiler, but he has upped his wedge and playing for a better club than Coventry./ 2 Quote
rovers11 Posted August 28, 2022 Posted August 28, 2022 A no nonsense defender who can also play a bit sounds perfect. Welcome Dom! Looking like the guy from Liverpool will come in too, so we've got some very good defensive options to choose from. Quote

You need to win the midfield battle in order for your more technical players to get into the game. Don't think we'll see anyone sign there though. 1 Quote
matt83 Posted August 28, 2022 Posted August 28, 2022 Well if this hyam didn’t want to leave Coventry. There’s an obvious chant : Hyam the one and only, No place he’d rather be, Hyam the one and only… 1 Quote

Coventry forced him out for the cash, maybe he was very comfortable there. Robins didn't have any part in the decision too. Quote
