If he has to miss one game then so be it so make sure he is fit for the next 3 games before the international break. We have 4 games to play before the 2 weeks break 44 minutes ago, Tyrone Shoelaces said: Anybody think Hedges worth a start ? If not why did we pay a fee to sign him ? I wouldn't myself for this game given but you could start Hedges and move Giles to left wing back to put crosses in for Gallagher, Dolan, etc. Maybe Mowbray might do that Quote
Miller11 Posted March 7, 2022 Posted March 7, 2022 I’d change the system slightly. Gallagher as a centre forward, reluctant as he seems to be to play there, no false anything’s. . Kaminski Lenihan Van Hecke Wharton Buckley Giles Travis Johnson Dolan Gallagher Hedges Pears, Brown, Pickering, Rothwell, Vale, JRC, Dack 2 Quote

He must be fit, he was playing regular football. After pursuing him for so long SURELY he's not decided he's actually signed a dud? Quote

I think he'll play Rothwell behind Gally and Dolan. It's so difficult to know what line-up will re-light the blue touch-paper. The one thing we are sure about is that Tony doesn't know either. Having to wait until he accidentally finds the right formula, like he did after the Fulham game, is increasingly painful. There would be some symmetry in starting an 11 game winning run after a defeat to Fulham. We can but dream.... Edited March 7, 2022 by garnersfags 2 Quote
SuperBrfc Posted March 7, 2022 Posted March 7, 2022 4 hours ago, Tyrone Shoelaces said: Anybody think Hedges worth a start ? If not why did we pay a fee to sign him ? Yes, I want to see him start. From the little we have seen of him so far, I thought he looked ok. It's too early to say either way, but he had some nice touches and showed a bit of skill down the line a couple of times. Let's see him over a couple of games. Hopefully Giles is at left wing back tomorrow. Playing him on the right of the attack is unnecessarily complicating things. He's no Salah or Robben. I can see us nicking a 1-0 tomorrow. Quote
DeeCee Posted March 7, 2022 Posted March 7, 2022 How about playing SG as a c/f with Dolan and Giles crossing? Just a thought Tony? 4 Quote

More money wasted by the management team, should have just waited for the summer, for a team in a lot of debt we don't half piss away tons of cash. 2 Quote

We don't want to change too much as Saturday aside we are still keeping it quite tight at the back. That's down to the system so going back to many changes and square pegs in round holes against an organized side might prove costly. Rovers can't batter teams this season it's all about the grind, three or one point in that order. Once the rotating starts and systems start changing we'll implode imo. End of the day whatever we do we don't have enough players carrying genuine goal threat. So at least keep it tight at the back and hope to grab something, as always score first and we'll win. Quote
Backroom Tom Posted March 7, 2022 Backroom Posted March 7, 2022 3 hours ago, DeeCee said: How about playing SG as a c/f with Dolan and Giles crossing? Just a thought Tony? I remember a truly brilliant Dolan cross for a Brereton goal earlier in the season so he has that in him and we know Giles was brought in for that reason, seems obvious! Quote
roversfan99 Posted March 8, 2022 Posted March 8, 2022 I think that is the only time that Dolan has crossed like that and Gallagher is hardly the ideal target to score from such chances to be fair. Quote
