He won't have a friend running the show and errant owners who wouldn't know accountability if it bit them in the bollocks.

Yep he's likely to be judged on results and table position and team performances up there.

Those are the two  of the things he said he wasn't bothered about here as long as HE felt individuals were performing and developing.  Usually said it after a defeat where we'd had 65% possession.

Just on the Reece James stuff, it looks like Mowbray sentiment was spot on, the guys obviously London ponce:

Sorry to bring up an old dinosaur...

But this clip really showed the inept nature of our previous manager...

And off James went to Wigan to be an ever present in that loan season, Wigan's player of the year and in the Championship team of the season, then back to Chelsea first team and England.

Mowbray, Mowbray, you silly silly oddball .... And all because he didn't like Coldplay or had tattoos.

Edit: and so what if he's got green hair, better than being a stupid cxxx like Moanbray.

Mowbray quote after the Burnley game

'Not going to make excuses and blame the injuries. But it was the injuries…”

Priceless from the man who told us he never makes excuses. Could have done with his juggernaut to continue on its journey today and not break down half way again.

He’ll be telling the Sunderland fans it’s not the Kevin Phillips era anymore. See how that goes down up there.

Mowbray’s at it again apparently. They play Luton away next week and he’s already telling the players that Luton is a really hard place to go, small pitch, big opponents etc etc.

I can only ever remember us wining once at Luton, Samba debut, I went in early 80’s and we lost, so it’s a certainly true in our case.

shocking from Mowbray and Sunderland players from losing after being 2 nil up at half time

I wouldn't say shocking! It was more surprising that they where 2 nill up in the first place, Tbf Burnley are a very good team with a seemingly very promising young manager, werr as Sunderland are mid table fodder with a shite manager.

Tony Mowbray 'Sunderland fans need to be realistic, this isn't the heady days when they were challenging for promotion from league 1' . I made that one up by the way

It's funny seeing the exact same Mowbrayisms coming up on their forum. Throwing on subs with no obvious plan. Complete lack of tactical nous. Standing/sitting looking bewildered or bored. Sounding like a defeated man in interviews. Bigging up the opposition, regardless of stature. Saying he'll make no excuses than proceeding to reel off at least a dozen immediately. Inability to utilise or defend set pieces.

They think when their strikers return things will change, but likely it'll just get more baffling.

They are in for a suprise then when they see them play wide left and right with their shortest player as a false 9, no matter what his usual position is.

Isn't Mowbray a head coach up there working under a DoF ?

If so he might not get his own way when the strikers are back, someone might be calling him in and telling him in no unvetain terms Sunderland fans love their strikers to be strikers.
