If so he might not get his own way when the strikers are back, someone might be calling him in and telling him in no unvetain terms Sunderland fans love their strikers to be strikers. One thing for sure is he'll be getting told that a 2 win in 17 game death spiral is not good enough. Quote

Yes, Kristjaan Speakman, Sporting Director who joined from Brum late last year. He's from an Academy background, pro youth which is what their manager has just moaned about post the Burnley defeat. Well that and injuries, lack of height etc etc ... you know how it goes. Anyone looking for some entertainment should have a look at this forum, its fun when we're not directly affected https://www.readytogo.net/smb/forums/pure-football.86/ Edited October 23, 2022 by AllRoverAsia 5 Quote

Throwing on subs with no plan, run out of ideas, can’t defend set plays(I wonder if the fans know he doesn’t work on them in training? 😂). Luckily for them, I don’t think they’ll have to put up with him as long as we had to. I wonder if he’ll be the honourable bloke he makes outs to be and walk before he is pushed there? I imagine their crowd has less happy clappers than us, so it may be a bit more difficult for him. Edited October 23, 2022 by Dan 4 Quote
Popular Post J*B Posted October 23, 2022 Popular Post Posted October 23, 2022 In a sadistic way I quite liked reading this. It evidences that I wasn’t going mad. I cannot believe we put up with this man for as long as we did. 25 Quote
Claytons Left Boot Posted October 23, 2022 Posted October 23, 2022 I think someone should tell the Sunderland fans about the lemon drizzle.. 3 Quote

Irish_Rover Posted October 23, 2022 Posted October 23, 2022 Its actually bloody hilarious seeing someone else on the receiving end. "Said he wasn't going to make excuses then spent the entire interview making excuses. Looked a broken man mind you" Along with "You caught that as well? "Well, you know, Luton is one hell of an intimidating place to go play football" Bear in mind he basically just arrived and they were doing reasonably ok (points wise, havent looked any closer at performances or anything). The first expected death spiral and it will be curtains for him 2 Quote

There were people calling for JDT to leave after Wigan.. Quote
Irish_Rover Posted October 23, 2022 Posted October 23, 2022 And yet up until close to the end there was people on twitter actually suggesting we should have a statue of him outside Ewood 1 Quote
Mattyblue Posted October 23, 2022 Posted October 23, 2022 They can’t be, it’s a uniquely brfcs thing to be ‘negative’ according to some on here… 7 Quote

smiller14 Posted October 24, 2022 Posted October 24, 2022 Mowbray barely averaged a point a game at Sunderland. Can't see him lasting long there at all, and seems like he's dishing out the patronising interviews already. They've been unlucky with injuries to strikers I believe but throwing a 2-0 lead had all the hallmarks of TM. Quote
tomphil Posted October 24, 2022 Posted October 24, 2022 It would just be like him if they go and win the next 2 or 3 now that's how it tends to work. What he doesn't have to live off there for the next 3 years is a promotion, something that carried him through a lot of lean times and talking nonsense here. 3 Quote

JHRover Posted October 24, 2022 Posted October 24, 2022 Anyone know what happened to that giant flag of Mowbray that we used to have at Ewood pre-match? Just wondering if we can have it couriered to Sunderland so they can use it now. Quote

I haven't thankfully seen much of that as I must not follow many of those people on social media, but equally we have seen stuff on here making out as if Mowbray was absolutely horrendous as a manager here which is equally not true. Mowbray probably will do and given that Simms is almost back for them. He won't be sack there this season 1 hour ago, JHRover said: Anyone know what happened to that giant flag of Mowbray that we used to have at Ewood pre-match? rickard Posted October 24, 2022 Posted October 24, 2022 It was funny, I was listening to a Swedish podcast about EFL, and they were discussing Sunderland. They thought it was so strange that Mowbray played so many players out of their natual positions. I was thinking to myself that it sounded vaguely familiar... 😉 Quote
