Needed taking off last match too, but instead Giles got blamed for not being what Tony wants him to be, a right winger. Blame seems to have continued as he is still sat on the bench today whilst Pickering proves a liability again. Don't get your hopes up about him being taken off. 1 Quote

Exiled in Toronto Posted April 9, 2022 Posted April 9, 2022 Biggest difference so far is a change of luck and our best player being Kaminski Quote
J*B Posted April 9, 2022 Posted April 9, 2022 Think Pickering is getting a little more than he deserves. Their right winger is obviously very quick and dangerous. I’m happy to keep Pickering on instead of Giles because Giles is forward focused, Pickering is capable of just defending. Wharton needs to do more to protect Pickering. 1 Quote
SuperBrfc Posted April 9, 2022 Posted April 9, 2022 Van Hecke is a class defender. He's made a number of key interceptions. The rest of the defence isn't looking as resolute today. Need a second goal to relax a bit. 4 Quote
yankfan Posted April 9, 2022 Posted April 9, 2022 Hard to watch us thump it long time and time again. Rothwell and Travis total passengers. Quote
bluebruce Posted April 9, 2022 Posted April 9, 2022 We need to make it to half time ahead, Blackpool keep coming. 1 Quote

OsloRover Posted April 9, 2022 Posted April 9, 2022 No idea why people are on Pickering’s back, Wharton by far our biggest problem today 3 Quote

Yep, the problem is who comes off today! Dolan least busy but that would mean Gallagher out wide. It would be harsh but if we can get to 70 minutes I wouldn’t mind… Kaminski Nyambe Lenihan JVH Wharton Pickering Buckley Rothwell Travis Dack BBD. Half time now. The ref is 100% going to be told he should have given Pool a penalty, so expect a decision at least against us second half. Need to score a second before that happens. 2 Quote
Exiled in Toronto Posted April 9, 2022 Posted April 9, 2022 This is no better than the last few games IMO, got away with a couple of horrendous defensive errors while they didn’t get away with theirs. Wharton and Rothwell having ‘mares, leaving Pickering exposed. Brereton the only player who looks actually dangerous. We needed a change of luck, let’s hope it holds for another 45. 1 Quote
Backroom DE. Posted April 9, 2022 Backroom Posted April 9, 2022 We haven't been great but we go in one up at HT and that's all that matters. Need another two to sneak back into 6th. Quote
A Northern Horde... Posted April 9, 2022 Posted April 9, 2022 Winning ugly..atmosphere flat as a pancake. Quote
Gordon Gekko Posted April 9, 2022 Posted April 9, 2022 Giles need to be playing at left wing back for sure 1 Quote
Fraserkirky Posted April 9, 2022 Posted April 9, 2022 Pickering is not even close to good enough, sticking out like a sore thumb. Slowest full back we have ever had. 1 Quote
TimmyJimmy Posted April 9, 2022 Posted April 9, 2022 I'm not putting any money on a win. We got away with loads first half. If it carries on like this we're going down 2 or even 3 one. Quote

Our tactics are hoofing it long, and hoping to run into it. The middle of the park is non existent. 2 Quote

Rothwell has been really poor. Remember when he was the best player on the pitch 5 months ago? 2 Quote

OldEwoodBlue Posted April 9, 2022 Posted April 9, 2022 Not much quality in that half. Was frantic play by both sides. Only one effort on target so still not much going on up front. Van Hecke and Kaminski stand out players. Pickering and Wharton struggling. Dolan very quiet. Lets hope we turn up this second half. Quote
