Does not compute. Hypothetical of course. If they provide funds to a new manager, but refused to provide funds to a manager and team sat in 2nd place in January with the best chance of promotion in 11yrs. What do you draw from that Simon? So how is your 6 candidate shortlist looking Chris ? Told you it was nonsense and way too early. Meanwhile privately Waggott has confirmed that nobody has been spoken to yet except Tony Mowbray. Is Farke actually out of the running. The article doesn't actually said that. Not my 6 man shortlist but a shortlist that I thought Rovers would be 3 hours ago, glen9mullan said: Well credit where credit is due, thats a very bold statement from the new reporter 😀. Some great quotes there from Farke Glen, Are you still confident that Farke will be approach to replacement Mowbray?

As far as i'm aware, I don't tend to post any info which is unlikely and I'm at around 95% success rate over the last 15 years. Things change all the time, and i've heard nothing to suggest its changed. Like anything, it will come down to whatever is negotiated, I don't know many skint bookies either 3
superniko Posted May 6, 2022 Posted May 6, 2022 For what it's worth, you can pretty much ignore the bookies on this market until there is a big price crash / suspension, at which point it will be practically known anyway. They're just reacting to articles, twitter 'journalists' and max bets. Regarding Lancs Live, they haven't got a clue bar whatever the club drip feeds them (what a grim set-up that is). It's 1,000.000/1 that they've actually had contact with Farke or his representatives about him only wanting a Premier League job. So the most likely outcome is either the club are lowering our expectations with this nonsense in preparation for a Ferguson / Woodgate announcement, or it's just clickbait for Lancs Live to pay the bills. 2
davulsukur Posted May 6, 2022 Posted May 6, 2022 @dallydally still confident about your previous statement? (Obviously clinging to a resounding yes from you on this one) 1
Gav Posted May 6, 2022 Posted May 6, 2022 I posted this a few weeks ago, just a reminder how wrong the bookies can be, 2017, a few days before Mowbray was appointed: Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink 7/2 Kenny Jackett 5/1 Steve Cotterill 5/1 Dougie Freedman 11/2 Nigel Adkins 6/1 Tim Sherwood 7/1 Billy Davies 10/1 Alex McLeish 10/1 Gary Rowett 10/1 Nigel Pearson 12/1 Mark Warburton 16/1 2

I stand corrected. That's an awful list. 1

Lancs Live will be making an educated guess. We won't be getting Farke. And they are probably right. We'll get some dolloper. 3

bazza Posted May 6, 2022 Posted May 6, 2022 I think Bristol City will do better next season if Pearson is still there. 1
Fraserkirky Posted May 6, 2022 Posted May 6, 2022 That article has all the markings of a broadcasting intern. Sheer nonsense. Farke will be the new manager, announced Monday I reckon. 1
Crimpshrine Posted May 6, 2022 Posted May 6, 2022 Any bookies quoting odds on Mowbray as next manager ? Maybe not comsidering he hasn't actually resigned and has a contract for 2 more months. 3

Expecting / wanting the club to improve whilst simultaneously taking my voice / money out? They aren’t compatible in my view. My money is irrelevant - it's already been explained in this thread that the £20m they write off every season is pennies to them. My £400 doesn't even register. 1

All of them were in a better place cv wise than Mowbray who had just left Coventry in ruins and had been in the running for 4th division Chesterfield job (and missed out on it for Gary Caldwell) That is the benefit Mowbray has had from us. There's nothing to say any of those other names couldnt' have done just what he has given 5 years, the squad he inherited and healthy backing. Of course over the passage of time most of that lot have taken jobs and failed at them or have been out of work meaning their CVs have taken a hammering, whilst Mowbray's has been rehabilitated because he's signed up for and put up with Venkys. 2

He definitely doesn't sound like a person thats about to completely sever ties with the club anyway 😞 As long as it's only a year and they point out they'll expect him to step down if/when we go on another ridiculously bad run.
DanielMB Posted May 6, 2022 Posted May 6, 2022 Maybe its time for a management team of Raul & Ronaldinho with a 50 mil warchest 2
