Popular Post tomphil Posted May 12, 2022 Popular Post Posted May 12, 2022 Dunn might be a modern day legend to a lot of fans but hes had enough out of this club and he fired off from his coaching role to sell buildings or something. We need to move forwards not take easy lazy options and move backwards. 16

Popular Post roverandout Posted May 12, 2022 Popular Post Posted May 12, 2022 Anyone heard the story of when Dunn got the Oldham manager job. They didn't have an office so he paid for a porta cabin delivered to the ground. So he could have his own personal office. The Oldham owner when he sacked Dunn refused to let him take it. So Dunn payed for one of those cranes to have it taken away. Dunn then gave it to a school, in great Harwood I think so they could use it 12

pomster Posted May 12, 2022 Posted May 12, 2022 (edited) I’ve come to the conclusion i’m not thinking of a preferred manager, i know that Sods Law states i’m probably going to be disappointed What i do know though, is that, whatever happens in the next few weeks i like many more people, i will decide on me parting with anymore of my hard earned. If you took the 2nd half of his 2 last season's here I think we'd be bottom? Seasons are over 46 games, not specific parts of a season added together and extrapolated to suit an agenda. Conversely if you added the points from each of the last 2 first half of the seasons I guess we would be comfortably in the play offs. 5 hours ago, roverandout said: Being a Rovers supporter is a huge plus. He will know the fans frustration having sat in the stadium he will know what the fans expect. He'll also not sit on his hands if the players aren't performing. He's not my first choice but I wouldn’t be against it. Preston and Blackpool have benefited from novice coaches at this level. Farke Is still my number 1 choice What does a Rovers supporter want that is any different from fans of any other team? To see our team win games. 3 hours ago, Paul Mani said: The snobbery around lower league / untested managers in here is odd considering most of us genuinely believe that we know something about football. Laziness at best… We know that there’s a LOT of managers in the Championship, and even some in the Premier League who are stealing a living. Who move from job to job doing ‘meh’ jobs and yet somehow manage to get another one.. There is a lot of talent in the lower leagues who are up and coming. Some of whom are held back by the bottle neck created by the average Joes (as above). Because chairman don’t want to gamble on something exciting and fresh which might come back to bite you and instead lean towards a Chris Hughton because if it doesn’t work out, they can say “Wait, I went for proven quality” IF, and that’s a huge IF we have done our due diligence then I think there’s scope for going after fresh, new manager who is ready to be the next Eddie Howe! Fingers crossed we have. I 💯believe they’ve been in the market and looking for a manager for 12 months 🤞🏽 Absolutely no chance with these idiots.

Bbrovers2288 Posted May 12, 2022 Posted May 12, 2022 Grayson is in the 0.1 % of managers I’d not want over Tony mowbray , the Sunderland documentary put me right him off, he sounds like a baffoon in it 4
RoverCanada Posted May 12, 2022 Posted May 12, 2022 (edited) Out of curiosity, is David Wagner an option, or is he considered damaged goods? Curious as to why his name doesn't seem to get mention. Got Huddersfield up, and then kept them up for one season before they finally fell apart. Arguably the luckiest promotion and the relegation survivors ever... they got promoted with a negative goal differential and then stayed up with only 28 goals! But ultimately deserves some credit for that... particularly with the budgets he was working with. First had a mid-table finish with Schalke and was fired before their follow-up yearlong faceplant... although presumably still deserves some of the blame for that. Then had Young Boys 2nd in the Swiss league before he was fired there, presumably under-achieving for them, but that doesn't strike me as awful... Not endorsing as I don't have any views/memories on his abilities as a manager/style of play. Forgive me if I'm overlooking something obvious! His name came to mind as I think of another German who has recently gotten promotion from the Championship... Edited May 12, 2022 by RoverCanada

roversfan99 Posted May 12, 2022 Posted May 12, 2022 This next few weeks will be a nightmare with pointless fake rumours, people hounding journalists every time someone's betting odds changes or a supposed ITK says something, lets hope (unlikely) that an appointment is swift! 6

I was born in Manchester and my dad was a Manchester City season ticket holder growing up (to my everlasting shame I converted him to being a Blackburn Rovers fan). If we really hire Grayson / Dunn I'm off to the Etihad from now on. 🤣 3

Bit too much of a billy big balls for me who was never professional enough to keep himself off the trainer's table. 7
Norbert Rassragr Posted May 12, 2022 Posted May 12, 2022 Grayson, with the possibility of Dunn as assistant/coach? Nightmare fuel. Simon is good at getting promoted from League 1, and he'd need to be again if he got as long as Mowbray.
