Fingers crossed this isn't the 1st time your guys right

Different guy, to be fair. Tough crowd on here at this time of year, I couldn’t have made it anymore ‘no promises’. Believe it, don’t, it doesn’t matter to me.

Pardew falls into that category for me, the worst name mentioned yet.

The really frightening thing though, if we did get Pardew he’d be one of the two best appointments out of 8 they have made

So Waggot declined Venkys man Farke.

Is there a massive power struggle going on here?

I'm as nervous as the next person but I think some of the pessimism is going into overdrive today.

There's nothing whatsoever to suggest we've any interest in either Adkins or Pardew or vice versa and just because Pardew has apparently left his Club doesn't automatically mean he's coming here just as it doesn't mean Stuart Pearce was when he left West Ham.

FWIW Imo it seems to be  amusing to some to  sporadically link the Club with the worst possible name that could possibly spring to mind without any foundation whatsoever and Pardew falls into that category for me, the worst name mentioned yet.

But we can be 110% sure Carvalhal isn't coming here, our billionaire owners won't pay the going rate to bring in proper support staff to help the manager take the club forward.

The penny should be dropping about now for you Rev, for many it dropped a decade ago.....

What? Worse the one I mentioned a few pages back, which I got slagged off for and then you , along with a couple of others, agreed with the person slagging me off. Anyway as this is supposed to be a forum but apparently we are not allowed to mention any prospective names.  My money is still on the unmentioned one because he’s desperate, he will be cheap because he’s desperate and he comes from the NW and to top it all he’s crap.
All the credentials for this rudderless club.
I’ll leave it at that.

Pardew 33/1 on sky bet, money to be made if true. (10/1 on William Hill 👀)

I’d personally not be too enamoured with that appointment, but wouldn’t feel as catastrophic as Coyle

Jesus Christ … come home from work go through 10 pages to find out Alan Chuffing Pardew is now being talked about

don’t think I can take any more unimaginative mediocre crap managers … just give us someone to get excited about !!!

Hmm good point.. Still very pathetic, imagine going for someone like Carvahal only to go but please work with these other muppets instead of your own staff so we can save money ..utter shambles

Clearly if there isn't enough in the budget to finance first team backroom staff, the transfer budget will also be non existent.

It is so frustrating under this lot.  Yet so predictable.

If we are to go down the relatively inexperienced route- not that I particularly want to- but if we were, I’d go xabi alonso

I can't see how he copes at this club.  Great player, could be a good manager but not experienced enough for the Rovers shit show.

I would have liked Carvalhal because I think he's got the tactical nous to give us a better shot at promotion. It was widely reported that his preference was to manage in England, but if he really is getting £3.5m tax-free at Aswad,

That might be 100% bonus with no basic, though. Contingent upon bringing the glory days back.

If he don't turn around, he gets nothing

Pardew wouldn't tie in to the idea that the second round of interviews most likely features people surely from the first round as he has only left CSKA today.

That being said, he does fit the Venkys remit of a random desperado appointed from nowhere.

Clubs make mistakes with managers, fair enough. However, usually they quickly rectify them and get the bloke out the door before he does too much damage. Was ever thus in football. So fans usually can be pretty sanguine if a fool is appointed, shout for his head and let the results speak for themselves, and ‘NEXT!’.

However, not in VenkyWorld. We all know TM would still be here if he had happened to have signed a contract with an extra 12 months on it.

My main worry is not appointing a dud in the first place, it happens, it’s all a gamble, but that said dud will be allowed to drag on and on and on. Even a complete clown like Coyle went on for those fatal extra few months.

That’s why they have to by hook or by crook get this right, as there will be no quick removal if he ain’t up to it, and in such a competitive league we know where that leads, alas I just don’t have much faith in the powers that be…

Yep, good point.

Hopefully a DoF might go someway to resolving this but depends on how much influence they have (as they'll have no real power)

My guy at Rovers says Carvahal was Ewood (Waggott’s) first choice but he wanted more first team staff and it was too expensive. He says Pardew.

Stop it, Josh. People are just plucking Pardew's name out of thin air to amuse themselves, apparently.

Rovers budget this summer is £1.6m this includes wages and transfer fees! No manager in their right mind would take that on.

That would mean signing 2 freebies on 15k a week! 🙈 Obviously this hopefully changes if there’s player sales.

How would you be privy to that?
