Which utterly brilliant manager will we be delighted to welcome next?

Liverpool aren’t the romantic ‘boot room’ club of old, but a highly efficient organisation with ruthless US owners. They’ll have their pick of world managers, so why would Fenway Sports Group of Boston choose a bang average one in SG?

Lets see what happens when Klopp leaves.

That's a new one. Most previous claims have placed him being involved in their core business back in India.

So are you able to tell us exactly what he does here on a day to day basis? Because no-one else seems able to.

He may well have worked in India before but he moved from South Africa to work on the Rovers purchase. I've seen him around Ewood a few times but I don't know the detail of what he does other than being the conduit between the Ewood staff and the owners.

More fool them then if they go down the Man Utd romantic route.

If it was to happen now then I'd agree but no telling what Gerrard's career will have been like by the time Klopp leaves.

The start has been promising,re built Rangers and it was the side he built that reached the Europa League final.

Mediocre start at Villa but their early transfers this summer look promising.

I heard on good authority that during his time working with the youths, he was sacked and he went running to India and was reinstated! He is unsackable.

Ridiculous, isn't it?

There have been many examples where people at the club could and should have been justifiably sacked, but were kept on for as long as possible.

Unbelievably, in some cases those people ended up walking of their own accord! What would have happened had they not walked? It doesn't make sense, nor does it bear thinking about.

Now this with Lowe. How a nondescript coach can be deemed to be so important that a new manager has to accept him, even if that puts off the better candidates, is beyond me.

There has to be a reason behind it and I don't like the idea of what it could be. He needs to follow Venus out of the door, in my opinion.

So according to Nixon (I know) any credit (or blame) for the appointment lies solely with Waggott?

Who does he think is in the frame? Not clear from the above snippet?

He has Farke and Ainsworth in a previous post to another poster. He has mention a B list now but he thinks it's not serious list.

It appears the second interview is with the owners from his comments.

Sorry just seen he's said "Wait until.it's almost official".

I.e. He hasn't a scooby.

That's regarding the Sporting Director role.

Baffling move.

Maybe he's had a taste of being the main man and doesn't fancy it. It's a backwards step, career wise.

Additionally he's not master of his own destiny, if Gerard gets potted then he's probably down the road as well

If theres only a couple of mill max to spend then we wont get anybody other than either a 'desperate has been' or a  'likely never gonnabe'

If we have no money why are we bringing in  a DOF, another big earning non producer?

Done nothing in this league, plays awful football.  Hair.

Never had the chance in this League, doesn't matter if we win enough games to get promoted, completely irrelevant but I like it anyway.

Without a connection to Rovers, wouldn't get a sniff.  I would of course hope he is a success.

Beyond Farke and Carvalhal, who I'll accept were both interviewed, we actually have no idea about who the rest are. They may well be cloggers, but there's hope that they aren't, and we'll get a pleasant surprise.

The Holy Ghost?…..

Although, if Gerrard gets potted it's usually the assistant manager who gets the caretaker role. Which I guess is a chance to impress, albeit briefly, in the Prem.
