Honestly on the face of it a good pickup, and gives me a bit of faith that the manager won't be as bad as feared.

Hopefully we can get the manager in place soon and begin to build for next season ASAP.

Does look a good appointment based on his CV..

Let's hope the head coach appointment is done by Friday

why rooney he's done nowt

Wouldn't be top of my list but that Derby squad was closer to surviving than they had any right to be considering the squad, the points deduction and everything going on around them.

And a name nobody came up with! Surprise 🤔

Does feel like it'll be the same on the manager front doesn't it. A similar appointment to the DoF and it'll either be a masterstroke or disaster for me. Can't see anything in-between.

Whilst I agree with the gamble I'd rather see us go for something a bit out there over some of the proven to be dross options we've discussed over recent weeks.

Knutsen next please

Perhaps unsurprisingly, he's come straight in at odds of 4s, same as Big Dunc 😄

Judging off my current FM22 save -

Kjetil Knutsen:

Crystal Palace: 1/24 - 11/24 (sacked after Premiership relegation - 20th)

Barnsley: 2/25 - 11/25 (sacked after Championship relegation)

Southend: (L1) manager for 11 months since Jan 2028 (17th finish, currently 18th.)

Sounds like a flop to me! 👀🤣😎

Well I’d never heard of him but reading some of the links shared make me quite happy about the whole thing. Seems like he’s been a big part of the success of Glimt recently.

Whether or not it works out is one thing but, credit where credit’s due, Waggott & Co seem to have done very well here, very well indeed. I think we can also agree that our academy has been a success here and this appointment should improve it even further. Wonder if Deila’s/Knutsen’s odds will shorten now?

Sounds very switched on, but obviously working at a lower standard than Rovers.

I interesting quote in there "the project that really excited me was Bodø/Glimt. The joined-up thinking, strategy and journey they were on made me think we could do something really special."

Surprised if he's coming based on a similar feeling at Rovers.
