I think Lenihans replacement will be, Carter this season. Then eventually Phillips for the long term. I am not saying I agree with the option, but it is what I think will happen.

Glad to see that Broughton's persuasive tones managed to convince Lenihan to stay, result for our new DoF. Nyambe defo next out the door so 2 from 2, good investment.

Clearly the thrill of working under Ainsworth wasn't enough but hey what ya gonna do.

As said by someone earlier we would have done better divvying the DoF wage up between the two leavers.

Will the wait for the new guy be really as Earth shaking as it should be after months of searching to get the very best (I'm including TMs notice period),. Clearly Lenihan and Nyambe know the answer to that and have left the building.

If I cheered up I'd still be depressed.

But you say M'boro have higher income streams (twice as much as us) , bigger attendances (10,000 more) and a bigger wage bill.

This is wrong.

In the last season, their average attendance was 7,600 higher than ours - strip out VAT and that would leave them with roughly £2million extra (chicken shit in the scheme of things).

Their wage bill in last reported accounts - there in black and white - is the same as ours.

Sounds to me like you are trying to defend the loss of Lenihan on behalf of the club by distorting facts.

IMO, the bottom line is we lost Lenihan through the club's negligence in not getting him nailed down at least a season ago and also a shambolic recruitment process which has left us managerless and rudderless for weeks.

All these excuses have to stop.

I think our club is probably the least well operationally managed in the Championship - simply a shambles and it's indefensible.

Crap, arrogant and well past his best, which is why he’s been managing obscure teams abroad.

No chance Pardew comes in as a head coach. His ego wouldn't take it.

I personally wouldn't be too disappointed with it. Falls between the levels of Farke/Carvalhal and Warne/Ainsworth.
