Its hard to draw many conclusions on how he could work out at another club. Sort of feels like he could be any of terrible, good or mediocre. But I suppose the quintessential proven candidate in Neil Warnock failed to get Boro, Leeds promoted so anythings possible with anyone really. I get you, 191 points in last two seasons at this level tho...

Unless they'd had some sort of prior understanding that Mowbray's future would be discussed at the end of the season. Don't forget in January the expectation would have been that we would have been in the play offs minimum and they extend well beyond the end of the regular season. Far be it from me to defend Waggott who probably can't lie straight in bed but if they wanted him gone I can't see why the Club haven't just put out the standard "Thanks for your service statement". after Mowbray beat them to the punch. Regardless of whether Waggott is sulking in a corner somewhere and whether or not they'd communicated their decision to him is irrelevant. Mowbray has in that case taken the decision out of their hands by indicating he's leaving and has saved them a job. Edited May 3, 2022 by RevidgeBlue 2
Angry_Pirate Posted May 3, 2022 Posted May 3, 2022 If they can move so quickly to replace Mowbray now, begs the question why they couldn't move so decisively 2 months ago when we actually would have made the playoffs with Farke. Even more so when the whole world (that paid any kind of attention) knew we'd end up out of thr playoffs come May. 6
roversfan99 Posted May 3, 2022 Posted May 3, 2022 Its crazy how quickly some people believe any old rumour. 1

TBH I wouldn't be surprised if no one in Pune has thought about Rovers at all this week, and are only vaguely aware Mowbray has said he is going. New manager decisions are likely on an agenda next week or week after, and Waggott can't say anything till he's had that discussion. That Waggott hasn't said anything is probably down to the fact he just doesn't know what to say. Which is shambolic but where we are.
speedies gonna get ya. Posted May 3, 2022 Posted May 3, 2022 I don't claim to be ITK at all however I do know a few people within football and sports media. I have heard Jonathan Woodgates name mentioned by 2 people independently of each other. Hope it's just agent lead without real substance.

tomphil Posted May 3, 2022 Posted May 3, 2022 I'm a bit worried about the lack of action on contracts in general. When we come to look at it we are told the club can't afford to offer more to 3 out of contract important players. Now the manager and various other staff are off seemingly without being asked to stay. Might be a reset but my just as well be another cost saving downgrade i don't trust this regime or its motives one bit. 2

So when are you going to accept he is leaving the club this summer. When the doors hits him on the arse on his way out. I expect an official announcment. A video would be good too. 1
AllRoverAsia Posted May 4, 2022 Posted May 4, 2022 Suhails remit is to report back to Pune on goings on at their Rovers Circus. They know what is happening.
The Gull Posted May 4, 2022 Posted May 4, 2022 Dream world, Farke is appointed and the day after he announces he’s convinced the 3 out of contracts to stay. sorry, just woke up, what’s happening? 5

Armchair supporter supremo Posted May 4, 2022 Posted May 4, 2022 (edited) Flippin eck! Not knowing much about him other than what's been said in here... I've Just been watching a few clips and interviews of Gareth Ainsworth And my first thought was... Really 😬😬! I mean I'll take peoples words for it on here if they say he's actually better than he appears. But really😬 He just doesn't look or come across as a championship and above level character or manager and hearing him talk about tactics etc.. He sounds very amature, almost semi-pro! as for his "look" bloody hell, looks like a retired porn actor from the early 00s Hope I'm wrong on all acounts though if he does get the job.
