And we wouldn't want him anyway - he's a hothead who doesn't have the nous to be a manager. This is going to be fun for the next 10 weeks while Venky's decide what to do Watford appointed their new man today - that's the way to do it. Bet you wouldn't dare say that to his face 😉 I think Ferguson will leave Everton to cut his teeth as a manager. I wouldn't want him, but knowing our lot we will end up with Darren Ferguson. Meanwhile, with Leeds all set for the drop, our ex, Tony, is on standby for the call to lead triumphantly back to the Premier League.

Leeds, renowned 2nd half of season bottle jobs, and Tony Mowbray. Quite the mix that. Somehow they'd probably manage to drop 2 divisions from Jan to May. 2
yeti-dog Posted May 11, 2022 Posted May 11, 2022 Bielsa was fun while he lasted but will ultimately be the reason why Leeds were relegated if it does come to pass. One to avoid for me.

One to avoid for me. He would never come especially on a Venkys budget but he took a side that had been saddled in Championship mediocrity (and below for years) and got so much more out of it, previously run of the mill journeymen like Ayling, Dallas, Klich, Bamford etc became star men at Championship level and for a bit very capable Premier League players. Even if they did go down this season which itself wouldn't be entirely his fault with an injury crisis (accept links to his notoriously regimented training drills etc) and of course being sacked part way through with this new American not improving them, he did a brilliant job there. 1
tomphil Posted May 11, 2022 Posted May 11, 2022 I can't see anyone who wants promotion employing TM even if they have a few quid to chuck about. Outside chance he could pitch up at WBA or Boro again of course but that would be down to old pals acts. A club looking re-establish itself in the Championship or one more than happy to tread water then yes he'd be the man. Thing is there is a lot of guys similar to him on the availability list. Only difference is hes been employed in the same place for 5 years which proves his durability. There'll be a few chairmen know hes been very fortunate a number of times to stay here though. 3

Some clubs are set up to roll the dice though and Watford are one, Boro another, Rovers used to be. Changing manager and first team coach every 2 or 3 years needn't be the great upheaval it will be here. Many clubs at champ level do it with varying degrees of success it's all part and parcel of football at this level. If it doesn't work at Watford they'll pay him up and get another in no hassle. At Rovers a new one might last only months or if he gets a water tight contract we could be stuck with them for years even if they aren't up to much. Shite state of affairs but we were past the point something had to change. 1

Sea Bass on a Thursday night, wow! Seriously, one of my favourite fishes. Because Sea Bass has a mild/delicate flavour, I'd go for a Sauvignon Blanc with fresh juicy gooseberry/grapefruit flavours with a lingering finish. You should be able to pick up a very decent bottle for about a tenner. Usually, Booths / Waitrose have some terrific offers on for this type of wine. 5

Its been 11yr+ of absolute pain and agony for us all, I get it, but let’s be realistic here. We have only a snowballs chance in hell of attracting Dyche or Farke, managers that are looking for Premiership appointments on big money and nothing we have to offer will attract them to Ewood. As a famous dingle once said, after a 5-0 tonking at Ewood, it’s minis vrs Ferraris and we’re shopping for minis. Stan ternant
