47er Posted September 15, 2022 Posted September 15, 2022 Its a second chance for people who didn't buy one at the start of the season to buy a season ticket now for the rest of the season. It caters for people have been impressed by our start and think it might continue under JDT. As such it should be commended. Had the Club introduced this at a lower cost per game than "full" season tickets there would have been an outcry from existing holders. Let's see how many are shifted. That doesn't close the argument on the cost of season tickets, they are too high but have to be reduced from the start of the season, not now. 5 Quote

Mattyblue Posted September 16, 2022 Posted September 16, 2022 Not sure anyone is arguing that this new 3/4 season ticket should be any cheaper pro rata than the full, or indeed, the soon to be released half version. The club hamstrung itself back in April when it set this ridiculous price structure. Only next season can it be rectified… and we know that won’t happen until there’s somebody new in that famous Ewood CEO office. 1 Quote
MarkBRFC Posted September 16, 2022 Posted September 16, 2022 Noticed on Rovers article for the Cardiff away tickets that they are now stating that any 1875 membership bought after September 1st wont be valid for the first priority date of away tickets. Quote

Be aware that there is to be a rail strike on the 5th Oct, for anyone planning to stay the night and come back the next day. That was going to be my plan. Quote

Do you think that’s to do with the demand for Burnley tickets Quote

tomphil Posted September 16, 2022 Posted September 16, 2022 Those great fans who only ever turn up when Burnley is on - or Liverpool/Utd in the cup of course. Quote

They haven’t brought that in just for a midweek away game at Cardiff. I presume enough 1875 memberships have been sold for the club to distinguish based on when memberships were sold. Quote

I think it will be implemented for every away game not just Burnley. Quote

Mattyblue Posted October 3, 2022 Posted October 3, 2022 (edited) Sunderland tickets just announced at £25-£30 (Category B), though the club themselves said in the summer that all midweeks will start at £20… ‘We know how special Ewood feels under the lights and our midweek matches on home soil, which include the visits of recently-relegated Watford and newly-promoted Sunderland, will be Category C contests, with Adult ticket prices starting at just £20.’ https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2022/july/12/save-with-an-1875-membership--/ Obviously there’s now a Return of the Mogg big potential away support to rinse! rigger Posted October 3, 2022 Posted October 3, 2022 This season I have decided to pick and choose walk-on games. At £25 I will not be attending against Sunderland. Quote
JHRover Posted October 3, 2022 Author Posted October 3, 2022 Amateur hour strikes again. And why are we only releasing tickets 2 weeks before the game? 1 Quote
superniko Posted October 3, 2022 Posted October 3, 2022 Poor from Waggot and co, but that's to be expected now. They've offered 1875 members £10 off to try and get around it as they look to fleece an extra £5 out of a good away following. Quote
tomphil Posted October 3, 2022 Posted October 3, 2022 Typical back tracking again i swear these lot take their prompting from the Govt, say something then do the opposite but it doesn't matter because you're only crunching numbers. Sun'land will bring 4 or 5k at least Quote

MarkBRFC Posted October 13, 2022 Posted October 13, 2022 Two more fixture changes in December. PNE at Ewood and Norwich away moved for Sky https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2022/october/13/two-december-sky-selections/ Quote
only2garners Posted October 13, 2022 Posted October 13, 2022 A 5.30pm kick-off at Norwich is bloody tough on Rovers fans. I have been planning to go to this game as it's new ground for me but luckily I have the option of staying at my son's in East London so I can be back at a sensible hour. Quote
Mattyblue Posted October 14, 2022 Posted October 14, 2022 (edited) https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2022/october/14/ticket-news--rovers-v-huddersfield-town/ £18.75 for the 147th anniversary against Huddersfield, it was £14.60 for last year’s anniversary game against Sheff Utd… that pesky inflation gets everywhere!
