Maybe this is what the cost of the expensive new stitch areas and the added durability is for. How does Ewood cope from a logistical point with the ablutions. Popular Post lsp82 Posted July 3, 2022 Popular Post Posted July 3, 2022 I attended the last Eid prayers at Ewood with my wife and son. Every effort was made to protect the pitch, most came in sandals or other pit h friendly footwear. Shoes were taken off to pray, matting was used to cover the pitch where people were praying and on top of that we put our prayer mats. Before the prayers people came and sat with family and friends there was no wandering about the pitch or playing football. I stayed till well after and as a rovers fan inspected the pitch! There was very little evidence of damage at all as most left immediately after. One or two posed 'playing football' but it was for photo op rather than being allowed to run all over the pitch. This time I personally think it would be better to move more to the centre of the pitch rather than in the corner near the darwen/Riverside as the stitch areas are around the goals. All in all I wouldn't worry too much about the pitch as people were careful not to damage it and key areas were off limits by staff there. 11 Quote
