BigUts Posted June 14, 2022 Posted June 14, 2022 Welcome, Jon. Let's get to it and get this squad assembled! 1 Quote
Oldgregg86 Posted June 14, 2022 Posted June 14, 2022 Happy days. When does the transfer window open and the fixture list come out 😂 Quote
G Somerset Rover Posted June 14, 2022 Posted June 14, 2022 Great to finally get this over the line (work permit pending). Just a shame that the club have kept on Lowe and Benson. Hopefully Broughton and JDT will see enough of them over the coming weeks and their cards will be marked. Now let’s get some players in! 5 Quote
Darwen Rover 007 Posted June 14, 2022 Posted June 14, 2022 Welcome im very excited now, liking what I'm hearing! 2 Quote
davulsukur Posted June 14, 2022 Posted June 14, 2022 Welcome JDT. Don't forget, you've gotta do the double over The Dingles this season. No pressure 🤗 4 Quote
RevidgeBlue Posted June 14, 2022 Posted June 14, 2022 Promising appointment in theory. Hope he does well. Not sure how "a culture of giving everything to the Club" ties in with keeping on Lowe/Benson etc but hopefully the new performance director will see them off in short order. They're certainly all talking a great game and singing off the same hymn sheet at this stage. Let's see if the reality matches the spiel! 1 Quote
Neal Posted June 14, 2022 Posted June 14, 2022 (edited) Looking forward to the presser. This transfer market should be an interesting one, really want to see some knowledge of the Scandinavian leagues being utilised. Edited June 14, 2022 by Neal 3 Quote
RoverDom Posted June 14, 2022 Posted June 14, 2022 Still waiting for an 11th hour bait and switch and Mowbray rocks up to take the first training session Quote

Ossydave Posted June 14, 2022 Posted June 14, 2022 A name I don't think anyone even suggested (apart from me obviously 🙃) but I'm happy. A bit of a journey into the unknown but it's got the potential to be an exciting season - MUCH better than appointing a washed up old manager just for their experience. Bring on the new season🇩🇰 9 Quote
Trinidad Rover Posted June 14, 2022 Posted June 14, 2022 https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/ben-rosen/profil/trainer/58938 Ben Rosen has a decent CV. 5 Quote

yellowsubmarine Posted June 14, 2022 Posted June 14, 2022 It's time to assemble the players! Finally we got it done, hope the paperwork will be sorted! Let's show intent by making Christian Eriksen our first signing! 4 Quote
RV Blue Posted June 14, 2022 Posted June 14, 2022 A 3 year contract for a new manager seems ridiculous at our level. Quote
Tugay-is-God Posted June 14, 2022 Posted June 14, 2022 Cautiously optimistic, certainly better than since of the other names I feared we'd resort to, Ferguson, Carrick, Woodgate, etc. 4 Quote

Backroom Mike E Posted June 14, 2022 Backroom Posted June 14, 2022 I'm glad 'performance director' has a fitness focus. Hopefully see some changes to the seeming conveyor belt of minor muscle injuries. 8 Quote
davulsukur Posted June 14, 2022 Posted June 14, 2022 I see Lowe has managed to cling on. As he's mentioned in the article, I doubt he'll be going anywhere anytime soon. 1 Quote
Mattyblue Posted June 14, 2022 Posted June 14, 2022 Yep, it’s all very strange, but be interesting to see if JDL can quietly move them on once he has his feet under the table… 4 Quote

Not really, if he's sensational and gets poached we'll get compensation and the converse if he bombs. Mowbray imo did a poor job and lasted five years though so based on that the odds are JDT will be here 3 years if he does an OK job unless the owners get a lot more ruthless. Quote
pomster Posted June 14, 2022 Posted June 14, 2022 Welcome and good luck on this new adventure JDT, BR, GB. Looking forward to seeing you build the team. All we need to do now is get rid of the dross and hangers on .... You know who you are ... Maggott, Lowe, Benson! 3 Quote
