Totally standard practise, Wednesday is the most common day off in League 1 and 2. Championship and prem will be different due to spread of games.

JDT held the club to account and for that I respect him.

He has very high standards, our club at this moment in time does not.

I’m sure he’ll go on to be a success in other jobs and we’ll see this as an opportunity missed.

If he wishes to be an elite manager, he will need to be more flexible with his tactics, or he’ll be found out.

You think? I reckon that would be crediting our board with a degree of competence.

Hope you're right. Otherwise we can run a "Win the chance to be the manager for the day" competition at 14.45 tomorrow.

At least you don't need the up to date kit to do that so everyone attending should be eligible.

What time is the pre match presser meant to happen?

If we hear nothing by then, then we will go into tomorrow in the disgraceful position, a head coach desperate to leave and the club holding on for dear life in fear of missing out on a few pound in compensation.

Aa much as I liked JDT as a man, his stubbornness to rethink his tactics and strategies to suit our players better was going to put him out of a job sooner or later anyway. 

I think he'll just go on to be a respectable journey man around Europes leagues

You are probably right in what you say but it's still quite frankly ridiculous though that a Mirror journo has announced that JDT has left by quote, "mutual consent", yet nothing from the club.

That's changed from years ago when I spent time with a (then) fourth division club. Players were in every day, even after midweek games.

It won't in our house islander200.

As soon as the offical announcement comes, our tickets are going in the bin and we won't be going again until we get a change of ownership.

The only power we have as fans is to withdraw matchday support, thousands already have, many more I'm sure will follow.

Many thanks to JDT for his efforts. His ambition and honesty to be applauded. Best league result in over a decade - could and should have been more.

Dealt a very bad hand, though admittedly didn't always play the cards he had the best he could.

Sorry to see him go. Hope he goes on to have success. Now we all sit and hope.

Or it could simply be down to cost. 

Venky's can't currently supply any money and the Wharton cash ( probably only a percentage paid up front from CP ) has been earmarked for HMRC / wages.  They will not have budgeted for a big payoff for JDT.

So maybe Venky's won't sanction a sacking and JDT won't walk.

So low are my expectations of the club at the moment, I'm actually quite surprised that we appear to have lined up a replacement and won't have the 'dream team' of Benson and Lowe in charge for months and months while we interview for the 'right man' (/the one who'll stick to the company line).

His major bollock was trusting the Chicken Chokers to finance a team to football our way out of this division. They were never going to cough up enough money to buy the players you need for that approach.

Now he’s left us with a knife going into a relegation gun fight.
