Will be a great manager.

Had high standards that the club wouldn't match. Huge wasted opportunity.

Great manager? Really? So like Brian Clough, SIr Alex Ferguson, Pep Guardiola, Carlo Ancelotti.

I think his next job after the Sweden stint will determine where his career goes. Depends which league he managing and which club

JDT is of far higher calibre than Eustace in my opinion. The players didn’t like his high standards. Eustace is deemed a better man manager - I just think the players get an easier ride.

I don't agree there. I think Eustace demands high standards and I think someone who sit near the dugout against Stockport give us a first hand account what's he is really like on the coaching staff

By high standards I think Trinidad Rover means that Tomasson was tougher on the players by working them on the training ground to try and get them used to how he wanted them to play. I have heard that it wasn't uncommon for the players to go two weeks without a day off such was Tomasson's desire. One of the first things Eustace did was tell the players that there would be no more Sunday training. In any workplace that would go down well. Different managers with different ideas and philosophies, that's all.

I didn't read his comment as a criticism of Eustace but for some reason you have sprung to his defence.

Easier ride with Eustace then JDT which he said. I think Eustace demands high standards but has a different way to do it. Both wanted the best but different ways of doing it.

Yes JDT always had them in on Sunday after a Saturday game.

Not being forced to work on Sunday's is an easier ride. Nobody has questioned the standards of Eustace - in your eagerness to defend him you are reading something into it that isn't there.

I really liked JDT for a number of reasons and I also think Eustace is a good manager. At any normal functioning club, I think both would be more than capable of delivering a promotion but this is Venky’s Blackburn Rovers.

Replying to posts about his sons leaving the academy too, seems very likely him.

If it is, I hope it goes a way in correcting some of the anti-JDT (& Gregg) sentiment out there. A.Wharton sold above his head when he wanted to keep him till summer, Travis loaned out by Suhail when JDT wanted bodies, interference from SW and Suhail on Duncan McGuire, offering to resign but being forced to pay out his own exit...events we long suspected, and would come as no surprise to many.

Sickens me to think what he might have achieved with proper ownership & leadership. The only thing those crooks Waggott & Suhail have ever been effective at is smearing the manager with a section of our fanbase through client journalism (and have done once more with JE).

That lines up with the few bits that we already know like him trying to resign and them holding him to his contract, along with the rumours circulating at the time that they'd tried to loan out one of our senior players behind his back and told the player that JDT had given it the green light.

Hey ho, one year on, almost to the day, his replacement has left for a team at the bottom of the table due to many of the same reasons.

But I'm sure that's all just lies and really it's all because JDT is a cunt and Eustace is a snake etc.

Why do you think holding a party that has contracted with the club to the terms of the contract is a cause for criticism ? No kind of business could hope to operate successfully if they allow people to walk all over them.

Football doesn’t exist in the real world. Normal business rules don’t apply. If your manager wants to leave you come an agreement pretty sharpish and off he goes.

Yeah I was sceptical at first but that's got JDT or a close connection written all over it.

Saw one tweet saying that Eustace was substituted with Rooney at Birmingham, no native English speaker is saying that. So clearly a foreigner posing as an English man called Jack.

Yes I know what you mean, but what I was really referring to was that it appeared from the outside - I might be wrong - that JDT wanted the requirement that the club be reimbursed for the outstanding term of his contract,or part of it, be waived. I don't think there was any way the club could agree to that.

someone one twitter thinks they've found jdt's burner account.. going through the replies, it's really quite the thing. suggests it's either him, someone close to him or a deranged obsessive

@JackGreensnote

The English is too good for me. JDT spoke very well, but I very much doubt that he would write like that. It doesn't strike me as the speech or writing pattern you typically get from someone writing in their second language.

*Although looking deeper there are some slightly oddly worded responses.

He said himself that he didn't want to have his contract paid out by the club, he just wanted to leave.

Why would any organisation not just agree to that and move on, let alone a football club?

Because the contract that both parties had signed provided that he couldn't do that without a financial settlement. You obviously know nothing about business; nobody in the commercial world allows parties with whom they have contracted to just disregard contractual terms.

Amendments can be made to contracts as well, as long as both parties agree. Given you don't know much about anything I'm not surprised you don't know that.

Point missed as per usual.

I doubt it's JDT, but definitely someone close to him. Perhaps one of the coaches he had at Rovers?

Surreal😂 Definitely a European anyway. Decimal point rather than a comma used as a thousands separator ("Moore is making 35.000 a week")🕵️‍♂️

He no longer wanted to manage the club. Realistically, as a club, you don't want a man with that much influence running the day-to-day if his heart isn't in it.

Instead of holding him to ransom and demanding he pay out the remainder of his contract, simply waive it and go about your way. He was clearly willing to do that - I assume the only costs would be the lawyers who'd have to make sure everything was above board.
