When he commentates on our games, you can hear the frustration when we score 😂 If you had to carry the burden of being a Preston fan you'd be frustrated too. 4 Quote

From the numerous ones iv'e known down the years it's a very heavy burden that Rovers chip the size of Ewood on their shoulders. Only hate Blackpool though..... Quote

tomphil Posted May 16, 2023 Posted May 16, 2023 I'd say JDTs agents are very busy at the min. Can't see why all of a sudden all these potentially relegated Prem clubs are looking at a manager with no promotions on his cv. One who at the end of the day missed out on the play offs after being firmly in the driving seat a month or so earlier. 5 Quote

Proudtobeblue&white Posted May 16, 2023 Posted May 16, 2023 At the end of the day, time will tell. Quote
roversfan99 Posted May 16, 2023 Posted May 16, 2023 If it was either Leicester or Rovers, he would definitely move. A Prem club for so long, better players, more money both to spend and for himself. Lets not kid ourselves. That being said, not sure he has done enough yet to get that job. 3 Quote

Upside Down Posted May 16, 2023 Posted May 16, 2023 Why wouldn't he go to Leicester given the opportunity? They are going to be receiving 100m in parachute payments. Quote

He has a deal for the next two years and ultimately unless we get promoted I don't see much point in that running any longer. He is unlikely to want to sit around here for 4-5 years going nowhere like Mowbray was willing to do. He wants to be successful as a manager and the only way of doing that here is to get promoted. We had a chance in his debut season and the owners/underlings undermined it by refusing/failing to back him in January. If we manage to keep hold of him this summer then next season I suspect is last chance saloon. He'll either get us up in which case happy days or we fail in which case I think he will look to pastures new. 3 Quote
JHRover Posted May 16, 2023 Posted May 16, 2023 Leicester will want promotion next season and will do whatever they can do do that. Rovers I'm not sure do want promotion and if they do they've a funny way of showing it. That's really all there is to it for an ambitious manager. Where will their ambitions be best met? 2 Quote

wilsdenrover Posted May 16, 2023 Posted May 16, 2023 I don’t think we’ve been in the position under Venkys where other clubs (allegedly) want our manager. Knowing them, they’d stick him on gardening leave for two years. Quote
