I think that would depend on who & how quickly we bring someone in…

Would it? I imagine we’d hear a lot of ‘Glad JDT’s gone, boring football, but this guy is crap too. Bring back Mowbray’.

Can't really grumble that JDT would leave to go to Feyenoord, Dutch champions and champions league football.

Here's your chance to all laugh at me... There's only one person I'd want... Steven Gerard.

I'd rather Slippy G over Frank Lampard Jr.

I think I read JDT is currently having a house built in Rotterdam. If Feyenoord want him you'd imagine he'll be off. They won the league and so will be in the CL next year.

Which JDT has already managed in. And played in. Feyenoord will no doubt have that in mind. Seems like a perfect move for him, and it would still give a route to the Premier League for him if he does well there.

From his point of view, both footballing and personally, it would be a no-brainer to go to Feyenoord. The only silver lining is that Rovers will be much better prepared to get a replacement this time around. If it's going to happen, we need it to happen in the next few weeks.

I'm starting to think it's you who wants Mowbray back. You never stop going on about him😉

If it’s not Feyenoord it’ll be somewhere else. I don’t think the guy is in it at Rovers for the long run. Anywhere else the board would already have feelers out for the next guy. With the Chicken Chokers it’s  “ next season is miles off, chill out, we’ll get around to it one day. When’s the cricket starting ?  “.

No, just for the sake of balance I just like to point out that the bloke is still pretty popular away from here when the board goes into one of its regular TM-related meltdowns - ‘ruined the club’, ‘worse than Coyle’, ‘I HATE him’ etc…

Not so sure about that this time around, to be fair. Broughton appears to have led the way on getting players under contract, and he did well to land Tomasson last summer. I think he's here so that things can be done at a better pace. Granted, January was a disaster, but I can imagine things would have been far worse without him this season just gone.

I know he’s fairly unpleasant but Nathan Jones is unemployed. Does better with a small budget and is fiercely competitive!

He can be as unpleasant as he likes, the more the better ... If he's one of us.

It’s a no brainer for JDT if the offer comes in. There’s not much the club can really do to stop it.

Moves back with his family, top flight football, champions league and a higher wage. Can we really blame SW/GB if he leaves? 🤷🏻‍♂️

Just a joke.

Who is if he went to a big club in the city where he still lives? The blame will be if they end up pissing about all summer trying to get a replacement. But GB had JDT in the door within days of arriving himself, so I’d be happy to let him lead any search.

But all this angst when it’s *Nixon*, no other paper is pushing this angle.

Yes.

Or, at the very least, incompetence within the club by other staff members. Had January gone better for us, I've no doubt that we could well have been in the play-off final with a chance of getting promoted.

JDT is ambitious. We may not like certain styles of his management, but he seems to be very decisive and assured about what he wants to do with the team. It's unfortunate that we are still suffering from incompetence and idiocy in other areas of the club. And that is why he's got every reason to leave.

Does he play the way JDT does? No thanks. We need a replacement if he goes that plays similar cos that our footballing style and structure within the club. I would probably be looking overseas for his replacement

What style is that then?

Throw away a 1-0 lead in the final seconds of the game?

It's a fairly obvious angle when all things are considered. Unless JDT chooses to move his family to England then it seems likely he'd want to return to Rotterdam. They are building a house there and GB said in the interview the other day that JDT wanted to do the first year away from his family and then decide whether to bring them over. Add in his previous links to the club, and a 12 year old who knows nothing about football could have joined the dots.

If we're going back to a former manager, give me Mark Hughes please.

Jesus, Mowbray is history.

Let it go FFS.

Of course he’d be off like a shot.

My point is Nixon has just gone for the easy angle as he is want to do, especially as I doubt a Lancashire based hack is particularly connected to the inner workings of the Tottenham and Feyenoord boardrooms -It is telling that no other paper is leading with the Feyenoord fella being the favorite for the Spurs job this morning…
