Ultimately, for Tomasson, I would imagine family will come first and if the chance arises for him to return home, or much nearer to it, he will take it.

That's assuming the story of his wife opening a tea and cake shop in Whalley was someone having a bit of fun.

Does she do a lemon drizzle?

Too obvious, it's Daley Blind! It's an open & shut case. But I'm not one to be drawn on speculation.

What's Mark Draper up to these days? 🤭

We want someone who can net a few goals.

Remember when it was just the manager and his assistants job to plan on set pieces and keep players on their toes psychologicaly, etc!  Now all the areas like that need a separate dedicated team🙄

I thought the all purpose of the 'head coach' role was to allow the head coach to have more time to just focus on the players and the football side🙄🙄

Norwich have a set piece coach.

Earlier this season they scored from a Harlem Globetrotters type free kick move and all rushed over to the set piece coach to celebrate on the touch line.

They still lost at home...

We were only one goal in a game away from getting into the play-offs.

Something as simple as having someone on the near post to hack Coventry's injury time corner away and we could have been planning a trip to Wembley now.

Fine margins at this level - I'm all for anything that can improve us even if it's only slight improvements. It all adds up.

On the set piece coach. Small margins add up and can be the difference when chasing promotion. I'm happy to see us having a more professional set up at the club.

Carter scoring his header against Luton kept us scrapping until the final day. In that game i thought we were dead and buried. For a team struggling for goals set pieces can be a get out of jail free card.

Our set pieces this season have generally been poor, so it makes sense to bring in someone to try and improve that side of our game.

There have been a few silly and sarcastic comments about us hiring a set-piece coach, but it's probably the modern way to do things. Set-pieces are huge, and account for ~30% of all goals scored.

At least we appear to have some staff within the club who are now looking to be proactive for a change rather than sit comfortably and let things rot.

Set pieces have definitely been an area in which I have been disappointed in a lack of progress under Tomasson in. We don't have much in the way of good delivery but even when Thomas came in we didn't improve, lots of off the cuff short corners that clearly weren't rehearsed. We don't have the biggest team but our centre backs didnt get enough goals either. If we need someone else to come in to help things, so be it.

But my point is why does it need a separate coach just for planning a few set piece scenarios, surely the regular coaching team should be able to come up with a few ideas themselves.... they'll be hiring someone extra to pick the starting 11 next and deciding when to introduce subs (yes I'm being a little ott) i just wonder exactly what the head coach and his assistants do on the training grounds these days, they just micro manage things, even though you'd think they'd have time to be more hands on

Get the players to come up with ideas for set pieces.
