The club would happily let him walk away I feel.

The ambitions of the club and manager clearly don't align.

GB, JDT, Players and the fans ambitions are align tho. We all want promotion and to get back to where we belong in the PL.

I am sure Waggott would loved promotion cos of the finances involved in it.

Makes it even more disappointing to hear in JDT’s friday interview that the top brass’s aim was avoiding relegation.

He would take it if it fell on his lap, of course. But you have to go and out and grab it… and he certainly won’t be doing anything that facilitates that (which as he merely does the owners’ bidding it is presumably an approach they are happy with).

If you listen to Waggott's BBC lancs interview it wasn't his aim tho. JDT is very good at working the media and so savvy how he does it.

I wouldn't cos it wouldn't help the football club and assets would be sold very cheaply. Be careful what you wish for anyway it will never happened so pointless argument.

I would take new owners with fresh ideas to increase attendances, improving revenues commercially and better regional marketing with new team coming into those major roles with GB and JDT remaining in their current roles withing Footballing operations of the club

…..and an empowered, fully functioning, competent CEO.

He doesn't play for draws and certainly seems to have the philosophy of going for it. A lot better than turning up, especially at an away ground and grinding out a point.

Lose 2 and win one, never seemed as good as 3 draws, but it yields the same number of points, so I applaud him for this, especially if it is to wins and a loss, instead of 3 draws.

We won't go down over a 5-10 losses that could have been draws.

It's a bit like the Bazball (cricket) ideology as applied to football.

It doesn't always work and there are times when you have to grind out a point. A few more of those away from home  last season and we might have been in the play-offs.

Exactly what crossed my mind when we still went for the win on Saturday.

cos he wants to be and actually get us to the PL. He has embraced the fans, the local area and the club.

Or, more likely, because he hasn't yet been offered a better alternative elsewhere at a more ambitious club.

If Leeds, Leicester or Feyenoord had come calling we wouldn't have seen him for dust.
