Jon Dahl Tomasson - Sweden coach

Top and bottom of it is Waggott should have gone when Mowbray went but nobody was getting fired.

Tomasson could have lost every game this season and would still have had to leave by mutual consent!

Unfortunately they have to be hit where it hurts. Protests don't really hurt them - they are clearly thick skinned - but not renewing season tickets on a major scale has to hit home. Sadly I don't think enough people are willing to take such drastic action

In an earlier post I was told to respect people who renew their season tickets. I am afraid that I think anyone who renews, makes Swags targets easier to achieve.

Who are the 'younger players that have to be picked up at half time'?

Think Chrisene and Moran were the youngest out there, both are 20. Dolan's 22 but has so much experience at this point that I'd be shocked if he was affected. The rest old enough where they shouldn't need to be "picked up" because of a few scattered boos. If the mentality is that fragile no wonder we can't recover from going a goal down.

After this meeting and the events of the last week- I genuinely think this up there with as embarrassed and ashamed as I’ve ever felt about the club.

I fully expect the owners and board to plumb new depths over the next few days, weeks, months and, God Forbid, years.

Meanwhile Waggott has used and abused players and fans to deflect and save face for the board and the owners.

I do hope that a majority of fans are capable of critical thinking and analysis. Actually just remembering what's happened under these owners would do the trick.

I will be pleased if JDT has managed his last game at Rovers. We have only ever been a stepping stone for him - which I would've been fine with, had he been successful here. Facts are, like his football, he has flattered to deceive and we have gone sideways and backwards.

I've struggled to watch his brand of football. It is extremely sterile. It is passionless.  We have zero fight and physicality.  I think we have scored some brilliant goals but have churned out some abject, weak and inept performances.

Please let the next manager have some serious fight about him. Someone who reflects the town - like how Hughes had us. Unfashionable, passionate and hard-working...not fancy-Dan pussy cats.  We are in a perilous position, the off-field farce has been embarassing and disruptive. Let's get someone keep us in this league first and foremost and then channel our energy at getting rid of those not worthy of 'running' our club.

Because a lot can be said without saying anything at all.

Yeah, I'm focusing on the words "at this point".

I'm guessing the next point will be along very soon.

Hyam has moaned about the fans and crowds since he first turned up and we've ended up with a guy who is often one of the limpest on the pitch as club captain.

It's no wonder he's making an issue out of it, not his fault it's the fans.

See what i mean about victim mentality on all levels of the club it's pathetic if this was Boro/Millwall/Leeds/Sunderland they'd be getting torn a new one every week.

You know we are fucked when Pears is trotted out as a senior player.

Hyam though, he's disappeared on the pitch. No leader at all.

To be absolutely clear I had no idea what the meeting was about or who was attending other than knowing Waggott had called it. I didn’t know five players would be there. There was a moment when I said to @Herbie6590 I might be going down for a telling off… I even said we might be getting sued here. There was zero agenda or format.

There is of course a risk of being used for PR, but I had two options:

1) Attend, find out what it was about, report back what I can.

2) Don’t attend.

My view ? Don’t attend. Why be a human shield for the bastards ?

Ultimately I decided to go so that I could say my piece and I feel like I did do. Between me and Glen we made it abundantly clear what the problems at this club were and who is at fault… in our opinion, of course.

I understand things from your point of view. Just don't appreciate the secrecy, but good to see the info that came out.

Hope you told Waggott how we feel about him.

And Hedges. Senior player ? Deary me.

The list of 'senior players' there tells you all you need to know about why we are where we are. Three who should be bench players at best and two who have barely been here for a cup of tea.

Which is entirely your prerogative and if you got things off your chest and feel better for it well done. But deep down I think you know that Waggott wouldn't call such a meeting without an ulterior motive, which I believe is to take some heat off him and the faceless one. My personal feeling is that like so many other things that have gone on it won't matter a jot.

Were there other fans there? Everyone in agreement with you? I think you did a great job mate

Chrisene was man of the match. Dolan and Moran was shocking in the first half so can't have affected them much. It's all a smokescreen to avoid a hostile environment. Stop fucking up and there won't be boos. Weird that the youngest of the five present tonight was Pears at almost 26.

A meeting with fans that has a secrecy clause inserted, presumably part way through.

I wonder who proposed that.

I await the release of detail ... it's coming .. and well done to whomever believes in freedom of speech and the public interest.

If the fans at the meeting are meant to represent us, then they should have walked out as soon as the secrecy clause was mooted.

Just when you think you have seen it all you see this 'fan meeting'. Why on earth is the CEO holding a meeting involving players with no manager present. The whole thing looks like nothing more Waggott looking to get certain prominent online supporters on side just days after audible chants from inside Ewood for him to go.

In my opinion those fans who attended have shown a massive disrespect to Jon Dahl and allowed themselves to be Steve Waggott's pawns in his attempt to cling on to his job.

In defence of the fans who attended - it’s been pointed out that no agenda was shared in advance so nobody attending knew the format until arrival.

A competent chairperson could have easily and diplomatically dealt with that if it indeed it arose

Indeed calling a player and fan meeting without the manager being present in an open invitation for questions about the manager to be expected and asked.

It seems a wee bit orchestrated.

Yep..violins, cellos, trumpets and trombones
